Even further back still there was the Post Alley case where video mysteriously went missing and from several surveillance cameras which should have captured an incident where a police agent shot an unarmed defense attorney.
And the Funhouse case where police allegedly sat on video that would have exonerated an innocent man who was arrested and wrongly jailed for over a month after being beaten.
Given this long sordid history the Seattle Police Department has with videotapes, it seems strange that the department’s command staff, or anyone else for that matter, was surprised that they hadn’t heard about the latest videos for nearly a month since they came into the department’s possession.
Hardly surprising given the history here.
But strangely it’s still being viewed as a one-time anomaly instead of just one more in a long string of events.
While a large debate has been raging in a number of states in which police departments have been pushing to make it a crime to record the police… what we should not forget is that, in some places, that fight against public accountability via video takes on a more subtle tone as it does in Seattle where police don’t make it a crime… they just make it go away. |

Our new economy is the Police State
Alex Jones: QE2 what does this mean to our dollar?
Paul Craig Roberts: I don't think we know why the Fed is really doing this. They actually have not announced that they are going to print the money and destroy the currency. They are explaining this policy as a way of stimulating the economy. They hope that this will further lower interest rates and cause some business investment and hiring that would help the economy get back on its feet. That's what they say.
Now, one consequence of what they have announced will be to hurt the dollar. We already see evidence of that. But the dollar has been hurt for many years now by excess creation of dollars. So this is a continuation, perhaps an acceleration of the reduction of the dollars exchange value.
If we think about why the Fed is doing 'Quantitative Easing' one possible explanation is that it has nothing to do with an economic rebound and not really focused on bringing the economy back but trying to find a way to finance the massive budget deficits.

1.4 Trillion dollar budget deficits
How do you finance a 1.4 Trillion dollar budget deficits when there is no American savings to buy the bonds and when that deficit is a multiple of the combined trade surpluses of all of our trading partners so that even if every country such as China, Japan, the OPEC nations that have sizeable trade surpluses with the United States, even if every one of those dollars is recycled into purchasing US treasury debt they can only take about, at the most, a third of the debt that has to be issued to finance the deficit.
So this may simply be the US Federal Reserve stepping in to purchase new treasury debt under the cover of an economic stimulus plan.
Now the consequence is this tremendous buildup of excess reserves in the banking system.
Under normal conditions this would cause massive inflation. But we don't have normal conditions. The banks aren't lending these excess reserves. The money is not being expanded and finding its way into the economy. The 'money multiplier' is not in effect. The banks sit on the reserves and, I think, are trading their troubled assets to the Federal Reserve for new bank reserves, which they themselves can then use to purchase new US treasury debt. It might be a scheme of financing the US budget deficits.
As long as these excess reserves that the Fed is creating — what it is doing when it buys bonds it is creating excess reserves — that money is not being expanded through the 'money multiplier' by bank lending and so it doesn't result in the kind of inflation that you would expect.
Alex Jones: China and other countries are starting to not buy all of the US treasuries that are offered. The Fed cannot just let them sit there. They have to finance this debt they have created. People are starting to back away from the dollar. We don't have an economy. We just buy Chinese slave goods with more dollars. Now every country is seeking to devalue with the dollar. What about these world currency devaluations?
Paul Craig Roberts: Well, these are not strictly devaluations. Devaluation is what happens in a fixed exchange rate system — when an exchange rate is fixed and then one day a government announces that it is devaluing its currency. What is happening is that the county's on 'pegs' to the dollar, like the Chinese, the currency goes down with the dollar. There are a number of countries that are on 'pegs' to the US dollar. As people move away from the US dollar into other currencies, those currencies rise, so they are subject to revaluation.

Whole world creating too much money
With this excessive creation of US dollars, what other governments do to keep their currencies from rising relative to the dollar is they sell their currencies in bad dollars, even though they do not want US dollars. They do that in order to keep their currencies from rising. Now if the world is doing that the US dollar is going to survive a whole lot longer.
If you are Switzerland for example and the Swiss Franc is rising to the US dollar, the Swiss say how are we going to sell our machinery, our chocolate bars, and so their central bank goes into the market and sells Swiss Francs in order to drive down the price. They buy US dollars.
Alex Jones: And so where does this design end.
Paul Craig Roberts: I don't think it is designed at all. The end result is you have the whole world creating too much money, not just the United States. The Swiss then have to do it. The Mexicans will have to do it. So everybody starts creating money to prevent their own currency from rising.
You get a massive impact on prices from everywhere.
I think the US Federal Reserve is desperate. They don't know what to do. The US economy doesn't go anywhere. No one in Washington, including the Federal Reserve, in my opinion, has figured out that you cannot stimulate an economy with stimulus programs when all the good jobs have moved offshore. There are not a whole bunch of American factories standing idle waiting on spending to call the workers back to work. The factories have gone.
The real dilemma the US Fed has is that monetary and fiscal policy with which they are familiar and have traditionally used — it doesn't work on an offshore economy. They don't know what to do.

Phillips curve
What they are trying to do is to cause a bit of inflation because they believe in the 'Phillips curve' [the relationship between the rate of INFLATION and the UNEMPLOYMENT rate] that inflation brings about economic growth.
They are not sure what the effect will be on the US dollar. They are completely prepared, in my opinion, if the US dollar starts going rapidly — they won't mind a slow process — but if it starts moving so rapidly that it is destabilizing immediately, then they will announce the end of 'Quantitative Easing' or they will announce something else. As long as people are listening to the Fed and going according to what the Fed says, they can continue this process of trial and error for some time. I don't think this is a conspiracy on their part to destroy us because this destroys their own power. They have nothing to gain.
Certainly the US government has nothing to gain from losing the US dollar as the world reserve currency. This is their main source of power. If the US dollar wasn't the world reserve currency we couldn't possibly conduct these wars. We use the supremacy of the US dollar to intimidate other countries. So they are not intentionally trying to destroy the US dollar even though that is going to be the result, possibly, of their policies.
What are we faced with? When people look at the deficits they see that the economy is not recovering, that the deficit projections we have already been given are huge, that they are likely to be revised upward so that more deficits, more Fed buying of US treasury debt has to take place. They also see more concern about the US dollar and prices.
This tends to drive the price of gold and silver up. This drives other currencies up and other government offset this by inflating their own currency.
Alex Jones: Cannot this get out of control?
Paul Craig Roberts: Yes! If you look at people who are buying gold and silver now, they are not traditional gold bugs, whatever they call them. Ordinary people are starting to buy. I think there is a general uneasiness everywhere about paper currencies.
I think even countries like Switzerland, which have always tried to maintain a sound currency because the government there represents the people at least as much as it represents the vested interests and oligarchies. Even the Swiss feel this pressure to inflate so that their own currency doesn't rise so much to the dollar. You can see that the consequences can be a world inflation.
What the United States needs to do is to bring the jobs that have been offshore back home in order that the economy can start up again.
They can only do that by changing the way they tax corporation.
They need to tax corporations according to location, at home or abroad, values added to their product. If they are adding all their value to their product in China or India with low-paid foreign labor they should have a higher tax rate.

If they don't do these two things its finished
Whereas if they are producing at home for the markets, they should have a low tax rate.
That would offset all the advantages of the cheap labor and the reduced regulation and so forth that they get abroad.
That would shrink the US trade deficit by the amount of the offshore goods — which is half of the trade deficit with China and a substantial part with other countries.
So that would show a shrinkage in the trade deficit instead of a continual growth.
This would reassure people about the US dollar. You would have less flight from it. Less pressure upon other currencies.
The other thing the US needs to do is the domestic budget deficit because the whole world knows that a 1.4 Trillion US dollar deficit and rising cannot be financed year after year after year.
Because even if the 'money multiplier' is broken and the banks sit on the reserves, the net effect is going to be inflation and the destruction of the dollar.
They have to get the budget deficit under control. There is only one way they can that. That is to stop the wars. They would have to simply stop the wars, slash the military budget. That again would show people that the deficit is going down, they are serious, we can stick with the US dollar awhile, we can trim our horns, that would give the United States a chance to recover.
If they don't do those two things, its finished.
I don't know how long it will take, but it's finished.

The Republicans represented business
Alex Jones: And you have these vested corporate interests that feed on the corporate welfare trough?
Paul Craig Roberts: Exactly! The military-security complex isn't going to let them cut the budget Neither will Wall Street let them overturn off-shoring because off-shoring produces so much extra profits short time.
The political system is unbalanced because of off-shoring. Off-shoring moved off shore jobs, diminished substantially union membership and union finances. The Democrats lost their unique independent source of financing.
When they had the unions, you had political competition: the Democrats represented a social safety net, social-security, Medicaid, unemployment insurance, the sort of things a floor under lives and keeping them from shrinking away and being gobbled up by the rich.
The Republicans represented business.
So you had political competition. But when the Democrats lost their independent financing because of off-shoring, they now depend upon the same sources of finance as the Republicans.
So you have one party with two names.
It doesn't matter who you elect.
It doesn't matter if you elect a tea-party candidate or not, because once the tea-party candidate is in Washington, the new member understands that to get reelected it has to bend to the will of the oligarchy.
If it fights the oligarchs it's out, in two years. It has no money. It cannot finance itself. The oligarchs pour all kind of money into their campaign.
I don't think there is enough of Middle class grass roots money that can change anything. The fact is there is one party with two names.
Alex Jones: How do you fix that?
Paul Craig Roberts: Well you have to take political contributions out of the elections. They are not going to pass that. The powerful interests are not going to allow them to pass that. So it cannot be fixed. The political system is broken.
It will have to fail.
I think the same will be for the economy. I don't think the people in charge have the perception, the understanding of the problem to be able to fix it.

Mega-corporations playing their game
Generals always fight the last war.
They are still thinking in terms of 'Great Depression' or 'Post-war recession' and they are trying to deal with the economy that way.
But it has been off-shored.
Alex Jones: Our new economy is the 'Police State.' I have studied the reports.
The Mega-corporations are playing a game of consolidation and if they have to physically invade a country and kill a million people to take it over, they will do it.
If they have to give DU weapons to the troops to use to win, they will do it.
If they have 500 mobile radiation vans that are frying the people that are operating them, not just the people inside the houses, they will do it.
You can see this debt black hole they have created that is impossible to pay back.
Looking at it, it's delusional, kind of like Nero setting fire to Rome, or Hitler invading Russia.
There is a lot of 'Chutzpah' here, [Hebrew word meaning over-stepping with no accepted shame].
But there is a method to this madness.
They are announcing this new global bank and STR's and carbon taxes and VAT taxes to form the next bubble.
They are destroying other currencies.
They are destroying our currency.
I cannot see any other way than that it is engineered.
But you were at those highest levels, or very near them, of power. I don't know what is more scary, if I am right and its designed and we see them all getting record bonuses and profits, everything else imploding. Or is it even more scary that they are out of control. But Doctor Roberts, doesn't it take us to the same place?
Paul Craig Roberts: Yes! That is why I don't worry about whether it is a conspiracy or not because in the end it is not going to work for them, or for anybody. The system is going down.
Alex Jones: But Hitler launched Operation Barbarossa [German: Unternehmen Barbarossa] into Russia. They just do it.
Paul Craig Roberts: People make mistakes. That is the human condition. Another reason I don't really worry about long-term conspiracies. I think there are a lot of short-term ones. But to keep a conspiracy going through the ages without making mistakes is probably beyond human potential. Now maybe [laughs] they are all aliens disguised as humans.
[Alex Jones laughs]
Paul Craig Roberts: [continues laughing] And have super intelligence. But if you look around at the mistakes people make, even smart people, even people like you and I — we make mistakes — so to think that they can keep a conspiracy going for decades and decades without making a mistake is not likely.
Alex Jones: Well we know they have a program for world government…
Paul Craig Roberts: Well… look… I still wonder how they are going to get China and Russia to go along with it. [laughs] Or South America which is breaking away from the system. If you look at it you see more and more people breaking away from American dominance.
Alex Jones: I agree. Zbignew Bresinski addressed the CFR and said just that.
Paul Craig Roberts:
Let's go to another question.

Let's go to the left
Let's go to the left, the left wing.
I don't think there is a left wing any more. [in America]
I think in America, the United States, the left wing was destroyed by the political economic collapse of socialism/communism. [USSR]
We had the triumphal end of history, you know [the win of] democratic capitalism.
This triumphalism [attitude or belief that a particular doctrine, culture, or social system, particularly a religious or political one, is superior and will triumph over all others] is why there is no resistance to the police state.
Why there is no resistance to the wars.
Alex Jones: Well notice the left hasn't talked about Obama reauthorizing the Patriot Act three days ago.
Paul Craig Roberts: There is not any left.
There is a very mild, watered down left, but nothing like it once was.
That is because of the destruction of socialism/communism [USSR] the triumphalism of democratic capitalism — the end of history.
To put balance back I think democratic capitalism is going to have to go through a crisis.
I think we are seeing that begin with the economic deterioration.
With the Federal Reserve not seeming able to forestall… the huge stimulus program did nothing for the economy.
This is unusual.
The enormous expansion of bank reserves have done nothing to the economy.
Interest rates practically zero, the economy is not recovering….
This is out of bounds of what they are used to.

Economic crisis they cannot handle
So we see an economic crisis that they cannot, apparently, handle. It seems to be getting away from them.
Politically the fact that there is only one party, we see the rise of all this anger in the tea party candidates.
They don't really know what to do, or what they are angry about, for the most part, most of them.
But they are angry.
They know the system doesn't work for them.
My recent column that you posted, 'the impotence of elections' explains why the system doesn't work for them.
And so if you get people… you get a population in which the economy doesn't work for them and the political system doesn't work for them, you get collapse.
Or you get revolution.
Or things fall apart.
And then all of a sudden the triumphalism of the end of history, the supremacy of democratic capitalism, that fades away.
Alex Jones: I want to get into the police state that integrates into all of this.
When I read the Rand corporation reports, [those] that are public, most of it secret, they talk about the service economy being 'security,' twelve, fifteen years ago, back during that period.
And so the fake right is trying to replace the economy with surveillance, prisons, control — a Gulag economy as Max Keiser calls it — then the so called left, their answer is the so called 'green' economy, a wet blanket on an already dead [western] industry.
I do see the establishment putting forward plans after this latest phase has defrauded us economically.
So they are putting out their plans. And we know what it is.
It is naked body scanners.
It is checkpoints.
It is threat-fusion centers.
Can you speak to your article 'might is right' because we have columnists talk about being screamed at, searched in front of people.
They are now announcing, 'Oh! If you don't want to be naked body scanned, we are going to literally squeeze your genitals.'
This is an act of humiliation.
This is an act of domination.
Paul Craig Roberts: Well, yes this is a consequence of 9-11.
There is no doubt we are having a police state. I think the real reason we have body scanners is because of Michael Chertoff whose firm represents the body scanner manufacturer.
Note the coincidence of the implementation of body scanners and 'underwear bomber.'
Now when I heard about the underwear bomber plot I thought now this is staged.

al-Qaeda
If the mighty powerful al-Qaeda [al-Qaida] can attack the Pentagon and the World Trade Center and all the intelligence agencies, why would they reduce themselves to an underwear bomber focused on a mere airliner.
That is a huge comedown.
It hurts their reputation.
It's kind of like you are a great boxer and you knock out a champion and then to start picking on ten-year-old kids. [laughs]
It doesn't help the image.
I think the whole thing was staged.
They needed Chertoff, who was of course the head of 'homeland security,' now represents the body scanner industry.
They had to buy these scanners all made.
All made ready to go, they needed an excuse.
Without an excuse to terrify the people, how is the government going to ram this type of invasion of privacy down people's throats.
So they concocted the underwear bomber.
Now Chertoff has made more money selling these body scanners.
So some of these explanations don't require anything other than greed.
Just normal greed.
This is the way things happen.
Now it doesn't mean we do not have a police state. We certainly do.
It is getting worse.
Let me say one thing that is hopeful.

Total power
Sometimes power alone is not enough.
Remember when the Soviets collapsed.
They had a police state.
The [USSR] Communist Party was as powerful as any aristocracy ever.
All kinds of special privileges.
They had total power.
Yet, they let the system go.
It really wasn't overthrown.
What had happened was, all the years and years of frustration and failure, and all the terrible stuff, eroded the belief of the people at the top who had the power in the system.
And they were willing to let it go.
Gorbachev, Yeltsin, they just said, 'to hell with it.'
They walked away from it.
It fell.
[Yeltsin, more of the Russian Federation power, ultimately did the same thing, giving state structure resources to the oligarchs.]
These type of things can happen.
They take a long time.
But it does show there is always something operating other than raw power and mendacity.
Always in the short run, medium run, raw power and mendacity, brutality, evil, all of this can prevail.
But in the long run it seems to turn the stomachs even of the rulers.
Alex Jones: When you mentioned your gut telling you that that was a staged event with the underwear bomber, we now know that Anwar al-Alaki supposedly ran all of these events, and he was meeting two months after 9-11, when he was number three in 'al-Qaeda' [designation name created by the CIA] secretly at the Pentagon with the top brass.
That is even on Fox news.
This is really becoming so transparent.
Paul Craig Roberts: Yes! If people catch on to that, it helps to accelerate the lack of confidence in the political system.
That we already see signs of, as said, the 'tea-party.'
We are certainly going to see people losing confidence in the economic system because the Fed doesn't seem able, even with these most extreme measures, to bring the [Western/US] economy back, or even to stop the deterioration. So we may see a serious deterioration of the economy in the next three/six months, in the next year, which will show helplessness on the part of these powerful people.
If that is the case, you will see a lot of loss of confidence.
Not just among the population in general, but among those pulling the strings themselves.
Alex Jones: Doctor, I think in the middle we meet. From my research the ruling class is a group of competing mafias.
They think they are in control, but really they are not as history shows.
As it is revealed they are not in control — they can steal and destroy and start wars, but not in control they can wreck havoc. I wanted to get your psychological view because you have been around these people in Washington over the years, and have studied it, that there does seem to be a wild mental illness now of just crazy Hubris [extreme haughtiness or arrogance. Hubris often indicates being out of touch with reality and overestimating one's own competence or capabilities] that we see with criminals, where they love to brag.

Going before Congress and saying we won't say where the trillions of missing government dollars went
To have them openly admit that Anwar al-Alaki is hanging out at the Pentagon.
To have them come on Fox and CNN and admit that out government gives the fertilizer to the to grow the opium that has brought the production off the charts.
To see the CIA tell the Washington Post that yes, we make fake Bin Laden videos.
Going before Congress and saying we won't say where the trillions [of missing government dollars] went, it's almost more than a 'Hubris.' It's moree like a flailing! A 'catch me!' 'catch me!' 'catch me if you can, I'm the gingerbread man!'
What do you say about this out in the openness!
Paul Craig Roberts: Alex, hubris always leads to destruction. Look, this is far more hubris than Hitler showed by marching into Russia. [laughs] This is more extreme.
Alex Jones: He almost won!
Paul Craig Roberts: He almost won, but the hubris you are seeing that you have just described is extreme. It is going to come unglued. I think it will come unglued.
It doesn't mean we won't suffer tremendously as a consequence.
It doesn't mean there won't be prison camps. And people won't be put in them.
But I think the system right now is showing more signs of failing than succeeding.
Alex Jones: is showing signs of complete mental illness, of megalomania.
Paul Craig Roberts: Well how are you going to succeed in this type of situation.
Now possibly they can brainwash everyone.
It's hard to brainwash people who are out of work, out of homes, out of prospects, out of hope for their kid's prospects.
You can say, 'Oh! It's the Chinese who did it!' You can point fingers and keep blaming the wrong people. But nevertheless the realization is that the system is not working.
If the government is so full of hubris as this, its kind of mistakes that it will make will be dramatic. The more hubris, the more likely the mistakes will grow in magnitude.
Alex Jones: I think it is a mistake for the system when we say we do not want naked body scanners. Then 'Homeland security' screams at you and puts you through the scanner and grabs your breast, grabs your genitals.
They are all over the news saying you had better go through the scanner or we will haul you out in front of everyone and make you pull your shirt out…
Literally on the news it show people grabbing breasts — to the point of my wife and children have never flown.
My wife hasn't been on an airplane in nine years.
We don't go anywhere now. Maybe that is what they want?
'Look, you are not going to put your hands between my wife's legs….'
Paul Craig Roberts: Alex, look, if you are Chertoff and there are huge sums of money involved in the success of body scanners, they are going to use all their influence and connections to make the TSA oppose strongly anyone who resists body scanners.
Money is on the table. So they have that reason to do it.
You also have the fact that many of the TSA people, unfortunately like many police, are bullies.
They enjoy power. They enjoy intimidating people and abusing them.

And then you have some naïve who believe the psy operations
And then you even have some who are naïve and believe we are under a terrorist threat and anybody who doesn't want to go through a body scanner must be a terrorist
You can get these types of terrible situations. It remains to be seen how much people will put up with. Airlines are saying these are pointless.
Alex Jones: And magically toner-bombs and other bombs are going off in Europe right now.
Paul Craig Roberts: The printer cartridge bomb, that's to shut up the British airline chairman, the European Union, because, 'Oh! See! You are being soft!'
I think people need to protest much stronger than they do.
Alex Jones: We think we have freedom and don't recognize when it is taken from us.
Imagine if Hitler had people on newsreels grabbing people's breasts and men's genitals.
And they admit, to intimidate you to go through the scanners.
If we beat them on this... then the police state starts crumbling.
It's more than the billions they are making — it's tens of billions over all.
It's also about forcing us. 'If we can make the suckers do this. We can make them do anything.'
Paul Craig Roberts: Yes! I am all for defeating them over the scanners, and on anything else. I remember those movies when I was a kid. What I was always struck by was the politeness of the Gestapo — 'Your papers, please.' The threat was always there only if you didn't have the papers. If you had papers [that were acceptable] the Gestapo was much more polite.

I myself have not flown in an aircraft since early 2002, nor in the physical body have gone through an agent-controlled border. CIA — Mossad behind terror attacks By the Staff of American Free Press
Former Italian President Francesco Cossiga, who revealed the existence of Operation Gladio, has told Italy’s oldest and most widely read newspaper that the 9-11 terrorist attacks were run by the CIA and Mossad, and that this was common knowledge among global intelligence agencies.
In what translates awkwardly into English, Cossiga told the newspaper Corriere della Sera:
“All the [intelligence services] of America and Europe… know well that the disastrous attack has been planned and realized from the Mossad, with the aid of the Zionist world in order to put under accusation the Arabic countries and in order to induce the western powers to take part … in Iraq [and] Afghanistan.”
Cossiga was elected president of the Italian Senate in July 1983 before winning a landslide election to become president of the country in 1985, and he remained until 1992.
Cossiga’s tendency to be outspoken upset the Italian political establishment, and he was forced to resign after revealing the existence of, and his part in setting up, Operation Gladio.
This was a rogue intelligence network under NATO auspices that carried out bombings across Europe in the 1960s, 1970s and ’80s.
Gladio’s specialty was to carry out what they termed 'false flag' operations — terror attacks that were blamed on their domestic and geopolitical opposition.
In March 2001, Gladio agent Vincenzo Vinciguerra stated, in sworn testimony:
“You had to attack civilians, the people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game.
The reason was quite simple: to force … the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security.”
Cossiga first expressed his doubts about 9-11 in 2001, and is quoted by 9-11 researcher Webster Tarpley saying:
“The mastermind of the attack must have been a sophisticated mind, provided with ample means not only to recruit fanatic kamikazes, but also highly specialized personnel.
I add one thing: it could not be accomplished without infiltrations in the radar and flight security personnel.”
Coming from a widely respected former head of state, Cossiga’s assertion that the 9-11 attacks were an inside job and that this is common knowledge among global intelligence agencies is illuminating.
It is one more eye-opening confirmation that has not been mentioned by America’s propaganda machine in print or on TV.
Nevertheless, because of his experience and status in the world, Cossiga cannot be discounted as a crackpot.

My father, a big city cop and Korean War veteran, loved to say, "don't confuse me with the facts, I have my mind made up!"
Well, I had my mind made up.
I told conspiracy theorists like my own Truck Officer, Lt. Earl Emerson, that they were insane if they thought anyone other than the terrorists did this.

A great friend of mine with a Business degree from West Point, as conservative and non-conspiratorial as they get, came over one night to talk about what he saw happening in the economy.
Began researching such things as economies, who is in control of currencies
He provided some disconcerting evidence that we as a nation are at risk of entering into another depression; he pointed out historical parallels where other countries, such as Germany, suffered economic collapse.
THAT was my eye opener.
I became obsessed researching things such as economies, who is in control of currencies, what causes depressions, who profits during war, etc.
So many things kept pointing to 9/11.
Another one of my dad's favorite quotes was, "believe half of what you see and none of what you hear."
So, I looked at both sides and quickly noticed a pattern.
On one side, the general media ignores some of the most compelling evidence that contradicts the "official" story...
When I voiced my new opinion and concerns most of my friends listened.

To be honest, I was asleep at the wheel, and relied on what I was being told by mainstream media.

I had never really wrapped my brain around what legalized torture means.
I had always claimed America was noble.
