Rafel Correa, President of Ecuador

Ecuador was the original banana republic.

Professor Doctor Correa is one tough character.

He told George Bush to take the US military base and stick it where the equatorial sun don’t shine.

He told the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, which held Ecuador’s finances by the throat, to go to hell.

He ripped up the “ agreements ” which his predecessors had signed at financial gun point.

He told the Miami bond vultures that were charging Ecuador usurious interest, to eat their bonds.

He said “We are not going to pay off this debt with the hunger of our people.”

Food first, interest later.

Much later.

And he meant it.

A Conversation with Ecuador’s New President
by Greg Palast
[Quito]    I don’t know what the hell seized me.
In the middle of an hour-long interview with the President of Ecuador, I asked him about his father.
Ecuadorean soldiers board helicopter
I’m not Barbara Walters.   It’s not the kind of question I ask.
He hesitated.   Then said, “My father was unemployed.”
He paused.   Then added, “He took a little drugs to the States... This is called in Spanish a mula [mule].    He passed four years in the states — in a jail.”
He continued. “I’d never talked about my father before.”
Apparently he hadn’t.   His staff stood stone silent, eyes widened.
Correa’s dad took that frightening chance in the 1960s, a time when his family, like almost all families in Ecuador, was destitute.
Ecuador was the original “banana republic” — and the price of bananas had hit the floor.
Million Ecuadorans fled to the USA due to 'banana republic'
A million desperate Ecuadorans, probably a tenth of the entire adult population, fled to the USA anyway they could.
“My mother told us he was working in the States.”
His father, released from prison, was deported back to Ecuador.
Humiliated, poor, broken, his father, I learned later, committed suicide.
At the end of our formal interview, through a doorway surrounded by paintings of the pale plutocrats who once ruled this difficult land, he took me into his own Oval Office.
I asked him about an odd-looking framed note he had on the wall.
It was, he said, from his daughter and her grade school class at Christmas time.
He translated for me:
“We are writing to remind you that in Ecuador there are a lot of very poor children in the streets and we ask you please to help these children who are cold almost every night.”

It was kind of corny.   And kind of sweet.   A smart display for a politician.
Or maybe there was something else to it.
Correa is one of the first dark-skinned men to win election to this Quechua and mixed-race nation.
Certainly, one of the first from the streets.
He’d won a surprise victory over the richest man in Ecuador, the owner of the biggest banana plantation.
Doctor Correa, I should say, with a Ph.D in economics earned in Europe.
Professor Correa as he is officially called — who, until not long ago, taught at the University of Illinois.

Food first, interest later.
Much later.
And he meant it.
It was a stunning performance.
I’d met two years ago with his predecessor, President Alfredo Palacio, a man of good heart, who told me, looking at the secret IMF agreements I showed him, “We cannot pay this level of debt.   If we do, we are DEAD.   And if we are dead, how can we pay?”
Palacio told me that he would explain this to George Bush and Condoleezza Rice and the World Bank, then headed by Paul Wolfowitz.
He was sure they would understand.
They didn’t.
Cut off Ecuador at the knees
They cut off Ecuador at the knees.
But Ecuador didn’t fall to the floor.
Correa, then Economics Minister, secretly went to Hugo Chavez Venezuela’s president and obtained emergency financing.

Ecuador survived.
And thrived.
But Correa was not done.
Elected President, one of his first acts was to establish a fund for the Ecuadoran refugees in America — to give them loans to return to Ecuador with a little cash and lot of dignity.
And there were other dragons to slay.
He and Palacio kicked US oil giant Occidental Petroleum out of the country.
Correa STILL wasn’t done.
I’d returned from a very wet visit to the rainforest — by canoe to a Cofan Indian village in the Amazon where there was an epidemic of childhood cancers.

The Cofan have sued Chevron corporation, demanding the oil company clean up the filthy oil pits that it left in the jungle near the Cofan Indian village in the Amazon where there was an epidemic of child cancer.

The cost would be roughly $12 billion.

Correa won’t comment on the suit itself, a private legal action.

But if there’s a verdict in favor of Ecuador’s citizens, Correa told me, he will make sure Chevron pays up.

Correa had gone there too, to the rainforest, though probably in something sturdier than a canoe.

But if there’s a verdict in favor of Ecuador’s citizens, Correa told me, he will make sure Chevron pays up.
Is he kidding?
No one has ever made an oil company pay for their slop.
Even in the USA, the Exxon Valdez case drags on to its 18th year.
Correa is not deterred.
He told me he would create an international tribunal to collect, if necessary.
In retaliation, he could hold up payments to US companies who sue Ecuador in US courts.
This is hard core.
No one — NO ONE — has made such a threat to Bush and Big Oil and lived to carry it out.
And, in an office tower looking down on Quito, the lawyers for Chevron were not amused.
I met with them.

How many cases of children with cancer do you have in the States?
“And it’s the only case of cancer in the world?   How many cases of children with cancer do you have in the States?”
Rodrigo Perez, Texaco’s top lawyer in Ecuador was chuckling over the legal difficulties the Indians would have in proving their case that Chevron-Texaco caused their kids’ deaths.
“If there is somebody with cancer there, [the Cofan parents] must prove [the deaths were] caused by crude or by petroleum industry.   And, second, they have to prove that it is OUR crude – which is absolutely impossible.”
He laughed again.
You have to see this on film to believe it.
The oil company lawyer added, “No one has ever proved scientifically the connection between cancer and crude oil.”
Really?
Ecuador Defense Minister at border area with Colombia
You could swim in the stuff and you’d be just fine.
The Cofan had heard this before.
When Chevron’s Texaco unit came to their land the the oil men said they could rub the crude oil on their arms and it would cure their ailments.
Now Condi’s men had told me that crude oil doesn’t cause cancer.
But maybe they are right.
I’m no expert.
So I called one. Robert F Kennedy Jr., professor of Environmental Law at Pace University, told me that elements of crude oil production — benzene, toluene, and xylene, “are well-known carcinogens.”
Kennedy told me he’s seen Chevron-Texaco’s ugly open pits in the Amazon and said that this toxic dumping would mean jail time in the USA.
But it wasn’t as much what the Chevron-Texaco lawyers said that shook me.
It was the way they said it.
Childhood cancer answered with a chuckle.
The Chevron lawyer, a wealthy guy, Jaime Varela, with a blond bouffant hairdo, in the kind of yellow chinos you’d see on country club links, was beside himself with delight at the impossibility of the legal hurdles the Cofan would face.
Especially this one: Chevron had pulled all its assets out of Ecuador.
The Indians could win, but they wouldn’t get a dime.
“What about the chairs in this office?” I asked.
Couldn’t the Cofan at least get those?
“No,” they laughed, the chairs were held in the name of the law firm.
Well, now they might not be laughing.
Correa’s threat to use the power of his Presidency to protect the Indians, should they win, is a shocker.
No one could have expected that.
And Correa, no fool, knows that confronting Chevron means confronting the full power of the Bush Administration.
But to this President, it’s all about justice, fairness.
But to this President, it’s all about justice, fairness.
“You [Americans] wouldn’t do this to your own people,” he told me.
Oh yes we would, I was thinking to myself, remembering Alaska’s Natives.
Puerto Nuevo, Ecuador, border area with Colombia
Correa’s not unique.
He’s the latest of a new breed in Latin America.
Lula, President of Brazil, Evo Morales, the first Indian ever elected President of Bolivia, Hugo Chavez of Venezuela.
All “Leftists,” as the press tells us.
But all have something else in common: they are dark-skinned working-class or poor kids who found themselves leaders of nations of dark-skinned people who had forever been ruled by an elite of bouffant blonds.
When I was in Venezuela, the leaders of the old order liked to refer to Chavez as, “the monkey.”
Chavez told me proudly, “I am negro e indio” — Black and Indian, like most Venezuelans.
Chavez, as a kid rising in the ranks of the blond-controlled armed forces, undoubtedly had to endure many jeers of “monkey.”
Now, all over Latin America, the “monkeys” are in charge
Now, all over Latin America, the “monkeys” are in charge.
And they are unlocking the economic cages.
Maybe the mood will drift north.
Far above the equator, a nation is ruled by a blond oil company executive.
He never made much in oil — but every time he lost his money or his investors’ money, his daddy, another oil man, would give him another oil well.
And when, as a rich young man out of Philips Andover Academy, the wayward youth tooted a little blow off the bar, daddy took care of that too.
Maybe young George got his powder from some guy up from Ecuador.
I know this is an incredibly simple story.
Indians in white hats with dead kids and oil millionaires playing musical chairs with oil assets
Indians in white hats with their dead kids and oil millionaires in black hats laughing at kiddy cancer and playing musical chairs with oil assets.

But maybe it’s just that simple.
Maybe in this world there really is Good and Evil.
Maybe Santa will sort it out for us, tell us who’s been good and who’s been bad.
Maybe Lawyer Yellow Pants will wake up on Christmas Eve staring at the ghost of Christmas Future and promise to get the oil sludge out of the Cofan’s drinking water.
Or maybe we’ll have to figure it out ourselves.
When I met Chief Emergildo, I was reminded of an evening years back, when I was way the hell in the middle of nowhere in the Prince William Sound, Alaska, in the Chugach Native village of Chenega.
I was investigating the damage done by Exxon’s oil.
There was oil sludge all over Chenega’s beaches.
It was March 1991, and I was in the home of village elder Paul Kompkoff on the island’s shore, watching CNN.
We stared in silence as “smart” bombs exploded in Baghdad and Basra.
Then Paul said to me, in that slow, quiet way he had, “Well, I guess we’re all Natives now.”
Well, maybe we are.
But we don’t have to be, do we?
Maybe we can take some guidance from this tiny nation at the center of the earth.
I listened back through my talk with President Correa.
And I can assure his daughter that she didn’t have to worry that her dad would forget about “the poor children who are cold” on the streets of Quito.
Because the Professor Doctor is still one of them.

ECUADOR: Manta Air Base Tied to Colombian Raid on FARC Camp
By Kintto Lucas
BRUSSELS, Oct 29, 2007 (IPS)
MANTA, Ecuador, Mar 21 (IPS) — Military and diplomatic sources see a link between the Manta air base, operated by the United States in Ecuadorean territory, and this month’s bombing raid by Colombia on a FARC guerrilla camp in Ecuador.
The U.S. air force was granted a 10-year concession in 1999 to use the base, located in the port city of Manta on Ecuador’s northern Pacific coast, in its counter-drug trafficking activities in the region.
No more state terrorism by Colombia
A high-level Ecuadorean military officer, who preferred to remain anonymous, told IPS that "a large proportion of senior officers" in Ecuador share "the conviction that the United States was an accomplice in the attack" launched Mar. 1 by the Colombian military on a FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) camp in Ecuador, near the Colombian border.
FARC’s international spokesman Raúl Reyes and 24 other people were killed in the bombing raid, which prompted Quito to break off diplomatic relations with Colombia, although ties were restored several days later.
Plan Colombia
"Since Plan Colombia was launched in 2000, a strategic alliance between the United States and Colombia has taken shape, first to combat the insurgents and later to involve neighbouring countries in that war," said the officer.   "What is happening today is a consequence of that."
Plan Colombia is a U.S.-financed and supported counterinsurgency and anti-drug strategy carried out by Bogotá.
The information gathered by IPS from military and diplomatic sources indicates that the Manta air base played a role in locating, and carrying out reconnaissance of, the FARC camp in Ecuador.
Ecuadorean Defence Minister Wellington Sandoval said there should be an investigation of whether the Manta air base was used for the attack on the rebel camp in Ecuador.
According to the agreement signed by Washington and Quito, it is the Ecuadorean armed forces that should carry out such a probe.
The Manta air base lease clearly stipulates that the base can only be used for counter-narcotics operations.
Sandoval said he cannot provide any information until an investigation has been conducted.
The military source who spoke to IPS said that what should be verified "above all are the flights from the base in the 20 days prior to the bombing, who was on them, the routes they took, and what they were investigating.   This data should be complemented by other inquiries and information."
It was from the United States
On Mar. 13, Ecuadorean Foreign Minister María Isabel Salvador said she had had "a conversation with (U.S.) Ambassador Linda Jewell who ensured us that the planes (at the base) were not involved in any way" in the bombing of the FARC camp.
An end to rights abuses by Colombia government
But the military source said that "the technology used, first to locate the target, in other words the camp, and later to attack it, was from the United States."
Sandoval declared that "equipment that the Latin American armed forces do not have" was used in the Mar. 1 bombing.
"They dropped around five 'smart bombs'," the kind used by the United States in the First Gulf War (1991), "with impressive precision and a margin of error of just one metre, at night, from planes travelling at high speeds," said the minister.
The military source said that "an attack with smart bombs requires pilots who have experience in such operations, which means U.S. pilots.
That’s why I think they did the job and later told the Colombians ‘now go in and find the bodies’, which is when Colombian helicopters and troops showed up" at the site of the raid.
DynCorp
According to the official version of events that the Colombian government gave an Organisation of American States (OAS) fact-finding commission that visited both countries, 10 "conventional" bombs were dropped from five Brazilian-made Super Tucano aircraft and three U.S.-made A-37 planes.
The A-37s dropped bombs guided by GPS (Global Positioning System) and the five Super Tucanos have the technological means to launch bombs at targets with a five-metre margin of error, said the OAS delegation’s report.
But according to the sources who spoke to IPS, the U.S. role in the incident could have been even greater.
The military officer said the bombing raid in Ecuadorean air space was actually led by "U.S. pilots, possibly from DynCorp," a U.S.-based private military contractor that has contracts under Plan Colombia.
Stop state terrorism in Colombia
The aircraft took off from the Tres Esquinas air base in the southern Colombian department of Caquetá, said the source.
Serving members of the U.S. military or men at the service of companies like DynCorp
"The planes used to fumigate coca crops or to attack the guerrillas are piloted by serving members of the U.S. military or (former) military men at the service of companies like DynCorp," said the officer.
Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa said on Mar. 15 that his government would not allow "any foreign soldier, whether regular or irregular, to affect the soil of our fatherland.   That is why there will be no more foreign bases after 2009."
U.S. usage rights for Manta expire on Nov. 12, 2009.
A committee in the Constituent Assembly that is rewriting the Ecuadorean constitution approved the chapter on territorial sovereignty on Mar. 17.
One of the articles states that "Ecuador is a territory of peace.   The establishment of foreign military bases, or foreign installations for military purposes, is not permitted.   National military bases cannot be leased to foreign security forces."
Failing to inform Ecuador
In its refusal to renew the air base lease, Ecuador can argue "many causes: direct or indirect participation (by U.S. forces from Manta) in the bombing; negligence for failure to detect the FARC camp with their technology, first of all, and the attack, in second place; and, in case they did detect the camp and the raid, for failing to inform authorities in the partner country, Ecuador," said a diplomatic source who spoke with IPS on condition of anonymity.
March against Colombia government and paramilitary right wing violence
Another reason that could be set forth is the direct support that the U.S. Southern Command, under which the U.S. armed forces at the Manta air base operate, has provided the Colombian military.
US monitoring Ecuadorean and Venezuelan troops
Admiral James Stavridis, the commander of the Southern Command, told the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee on Mar. 6 that he was monitoring the movement of Ecuadorean and Venezuelan troops to the Colombian border.
Stavridis said that with continuous U.S. support, Colombia has won "hard-fought successes" in the armed conflict.   He added that "this key strategic ally" was making irreversible progress towards peace and against "terrorism."
He also told the Senate Committee that the FARC had been reduced from 17,500 guerrillas in 2002 to around 9,000 today.
In July 2001, retired colonel Fausto Cobo, former director of the Ecuadorean army’s Escuela de Guerra (war collage), had told IPS that "Manta, for the purposes of Plan Colombia," is a "U.S. aircraft carrier, on land."
By April 2001, when work began on the expansion of the Manta air strip, an average of 100 troops were taking part in up to three missions a day in F-3 reconnaissance planes.
A diplomatic source from the United States told Britain’s Financial Times at the time that by October the number would go up by 200, and by 200 more within the following few months.
After the expansion of the air strip, bigger, more sophisticated aircraft began to be used for reconnaissance missions.

Imperialist Murderer
Manta is one of the four "forward operating locations" (FOLs), along with Curaçao, Aruba and El Salvador, that make up the U.S. network of counter-narcotics bases in Latin America and the Caribbean.
In August 2006, the Expreso de Guayaquil newspaper reported that Colombian pilots were operating alongside Ecuadorean pilots on flights out of the Manta air base.
The commander of an Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) squadron based out of Manta, Rich Boyd, told the Guayaquil newspaper that one of the AWACS aircraft was operated by a Colombian air force officer.
But Boyd said that each country's sensitive and confidential information is protected, because the Colombian officer exits the cockpit when the plane is in Ecuadorean air space, and the Ecuadorean pilot leaves when the plane overflies Colombia.
According to Boyd, three of the U.S. military’s 27 AWACS were at the Manta base.
Each one has a price tag of one billion dollars — nearly double the entire 2005 budget of the Ecuadorean air force.

Did U.S. Mercenaries Bomb the FARC Encampment in Ecuador?
As diplomatic and military fallout from the March 1 Colombian raid into Ecuador escalate regional tensions, allegations from Ecuadorean sources link the unprovoked attack to the U.S. Manta airbase and charge the American mercenary firm DynCorp with piloting the planes that killed FARC commander Raúl Reyes and 24 others.

... As a key "private partner" of Plan Colombia, DynCorp's aerial spraying of herbicides over portions of the Colombian countryside has caused wide-spread ecological damage with no discernible diminution of the flow of narcotics into Europe and the United States.
Indeed, according to a February 2008 report published by the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA), "intensive aerial herbicide spraying of coca crops in Colombia has backfired badly, contributing to the spread of coca cultivation and cocaine production to new areas of the country and threatening human health and the environment."
The WOLA report, citing UN figures, goes on to describe how cocaine production in Colombia has risen from 617 metric tons in 2001 to 640 metric tons in 2005, a wretched failure considering the inestimable cost in human lives and habitat destruction.
Since 2002, congressional authorization for the program has permitted "counternarcotics" funds to be siphoned-off into scorched-earth counterinsurgency operations by the Colombian Army and their paramilitary allies.
Some 300 U.S. Special Forces "advisors" serve as "mentors" to elite Army units in what has become another front in the U.S.-led "war on terror."
Parents of many students killed by US
Analyst Doug Stokes describes how Plan Colombia has morphed into an all-out war against Colombia's left-wing opposition:
In the case of Colombia, civil society organizations, especially those that seek to challenge prevailing socio-economic conditions, are construed by the U.S. government as potentially subversive to the social and political order, and in the context of counter-insurgency, legitimate targets for "paramilitary, sabotage and/or terrorist" attack.
The 1991 post-Cold War U.S. reorganization of Colombian military and paramilitary networks and the massive levels of post-Cold War U.S. funding of the Colombian military serves to underline the continued relevance of counterinsurgency for destroying movements that may threaten a stability geared towards U.S. interests.
("The U.S. War of Terror in Colombia, Colombia Journal, December 2, 2002)
The controversial mercenary outfit, like its better-known cousin, Blackwater, has a dodgy history and has been fingered by investigators in human rights and other abuses in countries where it operates.
According to a CorpWatch profile:
DynCorp began in 1946 as a project of a small group of returning World War II pilots seeking to use their military contacts to make a living in the air cargo business.
Named California Eastern Airways the original company was soon airlifting supplies to Asia used in the Korean War.
By 2002 Dyncorp, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, was the nation's 13th largest military contractor with $2.3 billion in revenue until it merged with Computer Sciences Corporation, an El Segundo, California-based technology services company, in an acquisition worth nearly $1 billion.
The company is not short on controversy.
Under the Plan Colombia contract, the company has 88 aircraft and 307 employees — 139 of them American — flying missions to eradicate coca fields in Colombia.
Soldier of Fortune magazine once ran a cover story on DynCorp, proclaiming it "Colombia's Coke-Bustin' Broncos."

Telling judge lawsuit posed 'grave risk to US national security and foreign policy objectives
While attempting to fly below the public radar, DynCorp's questionable Plan Colombia operations surfaced when a group of Ecuadorean peasants filed a class action lawsuit against the outfit in 2001.
The suit alleges that herbicides spread by DynCorp aircraft in Colombia drifted across the border, killing their crops and causing widespread livestock and human illnesses; in several cases, aerial fumigation led to the death of several children.
Washington responded by attempting to have the suit squashed.
According to CorpWatch, "Assistant Secretary of State Rand Beers intervened in the case right away telling the judge the lawsuit posed 'a grave risk to US national security and foreign policy objectives.'"
In a 2001 article profiling DynCorp's Latin American operations, investigative reporter Jeremy Bigwood wrote:
DynCorp's day to day operations are overseen by a secretive clique of officials in the State Department's Narcotic Affairs Section (NAS) and the State Department's Air Wing, a group that includes unreformed cold warriors and leftovers from the Central American wars of the 1980's.
Working hand-in-hand with U.S. military officials, Narcotic Affairs is supposed to be part of the drug war only, running the fumigation operations against drug crops.
But there are indications that it is also involved in the counter-insurgency.
In areas that are targeted for fumigation by Narcotic Affairs, Colombian right-wing paramilitaries arrive, sometimes by military helicopter, according to a human rights worker living in the Putumayo who asked for anonymity.
Members of these paramilitaries "clear the ground" so that the planes spraying herbicides, often piloted by Americans, are not shot at by angry farmers or insurgents.
("DynCorp in Colombia: Outsourcing the Drug War," CorpWatch, May 23, 2001)
Whether or not DynCorp pilots bombed Ecuador on behalf of America's ally, the paramilitary-linked regime of Colombian president Álvaro Uribe, it is clear the United States will not willingly relinquish the Manta airbase when its lease expires in November 2009.
In 2001, a retired Ecuadorean army colonel, Fausto Cobo, told IPS that "Manta, for the purposes of Plan Colombia is a U.S. aircraft carrier, on land."

Launching pad for an attack on Venezuela
As one of four "forward operating locations (FOLs), along with Curaçao, Aruba and El Salvador, Manta is a critical strategic base for U.S. "counternarcotics" and "counterinsurgency" operations in Latin America — and as a possible launching pad for an attack on Venezuela.
While the furor surrounding Colombia's allegations against Ecuador and Venezuela may have fallen off the media's radar, congressional efforts to have Venezuela declared "a state sponsor of terrorism," have not.
In Latin America, the "public-private partnership" in repression with well-paid mercenary outfits like DynCorp taking the lead, it is a near certainty that incidents like the March 1 raid will continue as Washington seeks to shore-up the periphery of its shrinking imperialist empire.

But I am glad for this delay as my awareness of reality, and the events that seemingly must unfold to educate humankind, have come from sentience off planet — now with this movie the circles merge
A movie par excellence, it will likely be considered the most significant in the downfall of the rich and powerful who control the world and rising politicians already in their pocket — the imprisonment of all those who seek to bring forth this horror, this enslavement of 'New World Order'

The aim of TheWE.biz is to make us all aware that the most murderous violence and terror by far, committed by anyone, is done by The West
Violence and terror is the footprint and modus operandi of Western Government and the shadow power that operates from behind these 'elected officials'
This film helps us to focus on that reality

Questioning War, Organizing Resistance
— Carol Brouillet
Glen Clancy, from Victoria, Australia, created "Fool Me Twice" described as 'A documentary about the Australian government's lies about the East Timor massacres, the cover-up of the Bali Bombings and subsequent anti-terror laws.'
The 25 year old, Clancy is Australia's Dylan Avery (of Loose Change fame).
The work was originally created to be viewed online, but Clancy is working on improving the resolution for larger screen and theatrical viewing.
Glen wrote (at the Fool Me Twice Blog on December 4, 2008)
To all,
After discovering 911 was an inside job, through such movies as Loose Change, Terrorstorm and Zeitgeist, I decided to investigate the Bali bombings.   The evidence was overwhelming.   There had been a cover-up.
As shocking as the truth may be, please keep an open mind while viewing this documentary.   FOOL ME TWICE is 100% sourced.   Please see reference list below.   I tried to produce a documentary as true to the genre as possible, limiting opinion and simply documenting the facts.
I believe that 911 Truth is one of the most important movements of our time and exposing the cover-up of the 2002 Bali bombings can help destroy the "911/War on terror/Al-CIAda" myth.
Please help spread this information.
Kind regards,
Glen

Americans are politically paralyzed by both cognitive dissonance and by what psychologists call “learned helplessness,” the result of years of having one outrage after another foisted upon them, without there ever being any real accountability.
So, as many truthers have discovered, the most common reactions of average Americans, when presented with the facts of 9/11, are either, “My government would never do that,” or, “Okay . . . but what can anybody do about it?”
Firefighters for 9/11 Truth
Erik Lawyer is the founding member of  FirefightersFor911Truth.org.
He is currently a full time firefighter, assigned to 3 Truck in the City of Seattle for the last 12 years.
Before that he was with the City of Sacramento as a Firefighter Paramedic.
He first began working in Emergency Services in 1988 in the Sacramento area with a 911 private paramedic ambulance company.
He has 20 years experience in Emergency Services.
He earned my pilot's license in 1987, and have been recreationally flying since.
He graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics from the University of California at Davis in 1993, with 2 years of elective Engineering courses, and a Minor in Psychology.
Erik wrote a moving account of his own shift in consciousness regarding 9/11 which prompted him to start Fire Fighters For 9/11 Truth entitled:
MAYDAY...MAYDAY...MAYDAY.
Here's an excerpt:
I, like most Americans, remember exactly where I was when I saw the attacks and had the overwhelming urge to take action.
I was shocked, outraged, scared and confused.
I called my Battalion Chief and asked if Seattle would be sending any teams to help.
I was a member of the MMST, and figured we would be needed and I wanted to know where to report.
Due to the nature of the incident we were not called up, and instead USAR teams, including Seattle's, were sent.
I first visited Ground Zero in October of 2001 with several firefighters from Seattle.
We went to pay our respect and show support.
We raised money for our brother firehouses and attended the funerals of our fallen Brothers.
I was deeply moved and humbled by the community support, the sheer enormity of the tragedy along with the courage and compassion of the FDNY "Brotherhood."
I vividly remember the anger, the intense desire for vengeance, the feelings of helplessness
Even though I listened to their stories for days, I cannot even begin to imagine the pain and tragedy they suffered on that day and the years to come.
I vividly remember the anger I felt, the intense desire for vengeance, and the feelings of helplessness.
I was relieved when the government identified the terrorists and satisfied that we were going to have a swift deliverance of "justice."
I've been a conservative my entire life; a registered Republican since I could vote.
I am a self proclaimed Patriot with George Washington as one of my all time heroes.
So when conspiracy theories quickly surfaced, and "Liberals" cried foul on the erosion of civil liberties, I chalked it up to their political beliefs and bitterness towards the Republican President.
I read many debunking articles — including Popular Mechanics — and watched many debunking videos including, Farenhype 9/11.
I was convinced that these "Liberals" were misinformed and were grasping at straws to discredit the "official" story.
Don't confuse me with the facts, I have my mind made up!
Like most people with strong opinions, instead of looking at all the facts, I was specifically looking for anything that supported my own beliefs.
As soon as I discovered any inaccuracy in a conspiracy claim, I wrote it off.
My father, a big city cop and Korean War veteran, loved to say, "don't confuse me with the facts, I have my mind made up!"
Well, I had my mind made up.
I told conspiracy theorists like my own Truck Officer, Lt. Earl Emerson, that they were insane if they thought anyone other than the terrorists did this.
Bin Laden confession tapes — how much clearer did they need it
Heck, we have ID cards, security camera videos, Bin Laden confession tapes — how much clearer did they need it?
The years went on and I was satisfied in my beliefs.
I even believed these "Wackos" that doubted the "official" story were distracting our country from focusing on the real threat of terrorism...
Fast forward to March of 2008.
A great friend of mine with a Business degree from West Point, as conservative and non-conspiratorial as they get, came over one night to talk about what he saw happening in the economy.
Began researching such things as economies, who is in control of currencies
He provided some disconcerting evidence that we as a nation are at risk of entering into another depression; he pointed out historical parallels where other countries, such as Germany, suffered economic collapse.
THAT was my eye opener.
I became obsessed researching things such as economies, who is in control of currencies, what causes depressions, who profits during war, etc.
So many things kept pointing to 9/11.
Another one of my dad's favorite quotes was, "believe half of what you see and none of what you hear."
So, I looked at both sides and quickly noticed a pattern.
On one side, the general media ignores some of the most compelling evidence that contradicts the "official" story...
When I voiced my new opinion and concerns most of my friends listened.
Shocked that a staunch Conservative could have such a major shift
I think because they were shocked that a staunch Conservative could have such a major shift, or because they thought I had lost my mind and wanted to diagnose the cause.
Curiously, some became angry at my new questions and actually thought I was supporting Terrorists with my concerns.
Being a part of that same mindset myself only a few weeks ago, and then having a major shift in consciousness, really shook me to the core.
What has happened to our collective consciousness that we believe anyone who doubts the "official" story or what the government tells us is an enemy?
What has happened to us — are we not founded on Freedom of Speech and taught to check our Government?
Anyone who asks for the Truth is labeled a "Wacko" or "Terrorist Sympathizer?"
What has happened to us?
Are we not founded on Freedom of Speech and taught to check our Government?...
To be honest, I was asleep at the wheel, and relied on what I was being told by mainstream media.
The same media whose parent corporations, are some of the largest suppliers of weapons in this war.
Before this "awakening" I had no idea the extent of our civil liberties that had been eroded in the name of Terrorism.
I had never really wrapped my brain around what legalized torture means.
I had always claimed America was noble.
Just look at how we treated POW's during WWII and Vietnam compared to our enemies.
[Ever check out the real story of John McCain as a POW, keep investigating! — TheWE.biz]
That separated us.
We were setting the example of Human Rights to the rest of the world.
[Check out the real facts of US instigations in Central and South America! — TheWE.biz]
Sure, you'll always have individuals that will take things too far, but Government sponsored torture?
[Let's mention CIA activity across the planet since its inception, including inside the US, and other black budget US government special operations agencies! — TheWE.biz]
What has happened to our country?
What kind of example are we setting for our children, and the world?
You would be interested to learn how many of our own rights have been stripped away recently.
Look up the Military Commissions Act of 2006, John Warner Defense Authorization Act, Homegrown Terrorism Act, Presidential Directive 51.
Amazing the rights we have all lost
It is amazing the rights we have all lost in the past couple of years and very little is covered by the U.S. media.
After discovering this, I applied the "common sense" test that my Grandfather always said wasn't so common.
Why would a government so aggressively suppress truth and blatantly destroy evidence if there was nothing to hide?
Why has every testimony from sworn government and military officials that points to "prior knowledge" been stricken from the 9/11 Commission Report?
How did paper business cards, cloth bandanas, and plastic ID's that implicate the terrorists survive so neatly through jet fueled fireballs hot enough to destroy titanium and steel?
I've seen bodies burned beyond recognition, yet I have never found one that was wearing unburned clothing.
These questions alone are enough to make me risk everything for a real investigation and accounting...
When I truly realized the enormity of the effect 9/11 has had on our Rights, our Economy, our Beliefs, our Fears, our Intolerances and our Government — I felt fear, then anger, then the need to take action.
Bill Chickering said it best:
“Anger is a very appropriate and necessary response to an injustice.
“But stand back now; the truth, clearly spoken, is always your best weapon.
“Calmly spoken, it can burn a hole through the hardest heart.”
When I realized the extent of the force and attitudes working to silence those who peacefully ask questions, demand answers, and seek truth, it became clear to me that our Country is in serious trouble and I must now stand alongside those Patriots who seek Truth and Constitutional Restoration.

He has been a practicing Architect for 20 years and has worked on most types of building construction including numerous fire-proofed steel-framed buildings.
He is employed with a San Francisco Bay Area architecture firm and has most recently performed Construction Administration services for a new $120M High School campus including a $10M steel-framed Gymnasium.
Currently he is working on the Design Development for a very large mixed use urban project with 1.2M sq.ft. of retail and 320K sq.ft. of mid-rise office space — altogether about 1,200 tons of steel framing.
He has been one of the most tireless speakers on the issue of 9/11 truth, and more specifically on challenging the official narrative of the disintegration of the 3 major skyscrapers in the World Trade Center complex that took place on September 11th.
He has been lecturing widely across the US and in Canada.
Those who see his presentation rarely walk away still thinking that fires alone could have brought down the buildings.
When NIST came out with a report recently that fires were responsible for the destruction of WTC7, Richard and Architects and Engineers were quick to challenge that report.
See NY Times quotes Richard Gage on WTC7 "collapse"
Aside from the NYT's reporter and a media request from Bulgaria, the press has tried to ignore the serious criticisms that Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth has raised about their reports.
Richard Gage gives an insightful interview on major points that scientifically do not agree with the official story of 9/11.

Elephant in the Room is a documentary following British filmmaker Dean Puckett through his journey into the 9/11 Truth Movement: a global movement of 'conspiracy theorists' who believe that the official explanation about what happened on 9/11 is totally or partially inaccurate.
The filmmakers travel from middle England, across Europe and to New York for the six year anniversary of the attacks, where the film takes one final twist as we are introduced to the 9/11 first responders who are suffering from various grave health difficulties due to the toxic dust that they breathed in trying to help their country during the weeks after this tragic event.
Told with a personal hands on approach that avoids advancing any one position, the film asks the question: are these crazy conspiracy theorists?
Or is 9/11 Truth a credible political movement?
9/11
By all accounts, the unprecedented events of September 11th, 2001 changed the way our country functions, and in turn, the world.
It is therefore critical that conscientious Americans, as well as people around the globe, understand these events in detail.
Unfortunately the official reports, including The 9/11 Commission Report and the NIST WTC Report, written by those working under the direction of the Bush Administration, have been proven to be elaborate cover-ups.
Film: 9/11 Revisited
September 11th Revisited is perhaps the most riveting film ever made about the destruction of the World Trade Center.
This is a powerful documentary which features eyewitness accounts and archived news footage that was shot on September 11, 2001 but never replayed on television.
Featuring interviews with eyewitnesses & firefighters, along with expert analysis by Professor Steven E. Jones, Professor David Ray Griffin, MIT Engineer Jeffrey King, and Professor James H. Fetzer.
This film provides stunning evidence that explosives were used in the complete demolition of the WTC Twin Towers and WTC Building 7.

90 minutes of pure demolition evidence and analysis, laced with staggering witness testimonials.
Moving from “the myth” through “the analysis” and into “the players,” careful deconstruction of the official story set right alongside clean, clear science.
The 9/11 picture is not one of politics or nationalism or loyalty, but one of strict and simple physics.   How do you get a 10-second 110-story pancake collapse?
'Oh!   You don't believe the 9-11 official version,' they say.
'You mean where they want you to accept the buildings were not blown up from below.
'Plane fuel!   Substance never burns higher then a gas stove!   That it caused the inner core steel to melt!
'Steel melting!
'Concrete vaporizing!
' 'No!   I don't believe that conspiracy theory.
'Cheney!   Bush!   Rudy Giuliani!   HA!  HA!
'Tower 7 that never had a plane hit — just came tumbling down!
'You believe that, eh!
'Ever think it had to be blown up because the plane scheduled to fly into it was off getting shot down.
'Thermite in Tower 7's walls, you see — incriminating evidence — impossible to get out without people watching!
Had to be blown up!
'Next you'll be saying Obama is not a Wall Street Illuminati banker stooge?
'Take your pick:   The partner in a comedy team who feeds lines to the other comedians.
'Him who allows himself to be used.
'Oh!   I can't really blame you,   Television it turns minds to pulp.
'Turn off the television.   It's the only way.'
'Turn off the television?'
'Get rid of it really.   I mean what else is there to do!'
'Get rid of the television?'
'Don't forget all radio garbage is propaganda, even the songs.
'Then those five minute propaganda hits they send you every hour!
'The ones they refer to as News
'Get rid of all the propaganda from your brain, the only way to do it.'
'Stop being hooked on those Hollywood movies — even those that make you think they are making you think'
'All paid performers to make your brain dead.
'You turn the brainwashing off, you'll begin to become yourself.
'It really is the only way!'
'Oh!'

Politicians of disgust.

Dalai Lama, left, and US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi look on during a public reception at the Namgayal complex in Dharamsala, India, Friday, March 21, 2008.

Pelosi speaking at a news conference on Capitol Hill November 8, 2006:

'In the words of Isaiah, we will make ourselves to Israel 'as hiding places from the winds and shelters from the tempests; as rivers of water in dry places; as shadows of a great rock in a weary land.'

The United States will stand with Israel now and forever.

Now and forever.'

A Palestine loved one lowers the body of 21-month-old Salasabeel Abu Jalhoum into a grave.

The young girl was killed early on Sunday when a US Israel missile landed on her house in the northern Gaza Strip March 2, 2008.

More killing by US Taxpayers.

Children injured and killed in Gaza by Israel using US made and paid for missiles.

Palestinians were forced from their homes 60 years ago from what is now called Israel into refugee camps in Gaza and the West Bank, Jordan and Lebanon.

The people who stole the land from the Palestinians have been aided by American Taxpayer funding for more than fifty years.

More than Fifteen million US dollars is given by US taxpayers each day for this military use, which presently involves the imprisonment of the remaining segregated ' Bantustan - Apartheid ' parcels of land occupied by millions of Palestinian.

Funding by the US Taxpayer for the enslavement of the Palestinian people continues to increase, estimated now considerably more than the previous 4 billion US dollars per year.

There are those who contend that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is all about Israel's occupation of the West Bank and Gaza.   This is absolute nonsense.
In truth, the history of the conflict is not over occupation, and never has been:  it is over the fundamental right of Israel to exist.
The greatest threat to Israel's right to exist, with the prospect of devastating violence, now comes from Iran.
For too long, leaders of both political parties in the United States have not done nearly enough to confront the Russians and the Chinese, who have supplied Iran as it has plowed ahead with its nuclear and missile technology....
In the words of Isaiah, we will make ourselves to Israel 'as hiding places from the winds and shelters from the tempests; as rivers of water in dry places; as shadows of a great rock in a weary land.'
The United States will stand with Israel now and forever.
Now and forever.
If you find the images in this article revolting, like me, think of the following: people everywhere in Palestine see such images on a daily basis not as pictures but live and anywhere they go, and that this genocide is supported equally by ALL western countries, the EU and the UN.
If you live in any "western" country, your taxes are very probably financing what you see here.
Speak with your politicians if you do not like what you see.
When the psychopaths and moral degenerates who commit these acts with the help of your governments stop commiting them, I (and others) will stop publishing these images.

Since the criminal State of Israel denied me the right to work as a journalist in my homeland Palestine and forced me to flee to Europe, I often ask myself why the U.S.A does not stop donating to Israel the bombs which they use against the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
What, ever, have we done to the USA?
Why did the U.S.A send military detachments to Israel after the Israeli lost the war in the south of Lebanon?
The Israeli military radio, 'Tsahal Radio' announced these news.
They said that the American detachment of officers had arrived in Israel to take part in the 'Autumn Clouds' operation in Gaza.
That they helped the Israeli military to perform their 'killing duties' without any loss.
American officers were involved in the last Beit Hanoun massacre, in which in one incident 20 Palestinians were killed, at least 60 innocent children, old men and women were injured.

The question poses itself, why is the political discourse of the European countries still fixated on the crimes against the Jews over 60 years ago?
All the while allowing and even supporting the perpetration of the big disaster which befalls my homeland Palestine?
Why do all European politicians keep silence about all the crimes which the Israeli perpetrates in Palestine?
Are they scared that the Jews will return to Europe, or are they themselves involved in these crimes?
Is it logical that the European countries signed the convention against Genocide, and then they impose a siege against the Palestinian.
Create conditions for real starvation for another nation in another land?
Why does the international media impose a veil of silence over what is happening in Palestine?
The concentration camps which are Gaza and the West Bank?
Never anything comes out in the media, the TV, the newspapers.
The media only relates minor incidents, or, in a hugely inflated manner, when something small happens against the Israeli occupation terrorists.
As far as I am concerned, all the western media is complicit in this genocide.
There used to be a house here.

The Beit Hanoun massacre, a day of bloody clouds.
On November 1, 2006, the number of the Palestinians who were killed in Gaza during the 'Autumn Clouds' Israeli military terror operation reached 86, and at least 265 were injured.
This happened before the criminals of the Israeli State perpetrated the now generally known massacre in Beit Hanoun.
The morning of November 8, 2006, Israeli tanks shelled Palestinians in their homes in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun.
They fired eleven shells into six homes, killing at least 20 Palestinians, wounding some 60 more.
The Irony is that this attack comes a day after Israeli troops pulled out of the town after a week-long offensive in which dozens of Palestinian died, and hundreds were injured.
A person from Gaza, who also sent me most of the pictures of this article, posted this on that day:
It has been the 7th day of the israeli aggression against citizens in gaza strip town of Bieth Hanoon, till this moment they have killed more than 90 citizen withen those 7 days.
What is most important about this, is the kind of strange weapons used in the attack.
These bombs explode in a strange way to make fatal damage of human body.
Cuts and burns more than any bomb we have ever experienced ... so this is why the number of kills is very high till now.
And for the most important even the wonded, thay almost have no hope to cure, as the damage that happens to their bodys .. the Palestinian Health ministray believes that some nuclear radiations might be contented in these weapons, as they can not really understand what is going on till now.
As i said more than 90 were killed and more than 500 wonded, tens in danger ... and more than 100 handdicapped as the type of weapons they use ..
The israelis destroyed many houses, and they killed many trees in simple words a New Jenin Camp.
If you remember what happened in Jenen, they destroyed roads, electricity and water nets.. in simple words what happened was an earth quack.
During searching some houses they stole what they found, some cellphones and PCs and gold.
What is happpening now that they Israelis partially withdrawn from Beith Hanoon, but not completely as some media say.
For that more than 9 were killed yesterday morning by Israeli snipers, or air raids and the army still ocuupying and having terrorist militant activities against civils.
Tonight some thing that happened which might be good to consider here, is an Israeli airstrike against the house of Jamila AL-Shanty, the member of the Palestinian Legaslative Council.
This caused the death of her sister and her sister's husband and an other passerby.
About the school bus that happened the day before, they shot the female teacher inside the bus in front of little kids about 4 and 5 years old.
Imagine how would they grow up?
Today there has been aggression using arsenal.
The Israeli arsenal killed more than 20 civilians as they bombed houses over the heads of the inhabitants.
So many kids and women were killed or injured this morning..."

Each time I read about the criminal Israeli operation in Gaza, seeing the increase in the number of the civilian victims, I swallowed my pain and closed the computer.
Until that evening, a day after the Beit Hanoun massacre, when I saw a group of Jews lead a demonstration against an Austrian rightist group which has its office near my house.
Suddenly the questions started coming:
How can it be that such a criminal nation has the gut to complain about the deplorable things which befell them in the past?
While they are perpetrating massacres and crimes on a daily basis.
Often worse than the most extreme crimes attributed to the Nazis.
Against the civilians of another nation.

The Israeli practices in Gaza and the West Bank is indescribable.
The daily crimes of Israel in Palestine are uncountable.
Their hateful and shameless incitements against the Arab world increase day after day....
In Beit Hanoun, some of the shells landed on a home, killing 11 members of one family called Al-'Athamneh, including a 9-year-old child and a 73-year-old woman.
The other shells landed on other five homes at Hamad Street in Beit Hanoun.
Other victims were from the Al-Kafarneh family.
Muhammad Athamneh described the massacre to Palestinian newspaper Hayat Al-Jadidah.
He said that the killed were children, women, and old men, that they had killed his mother, sister, uncle and his six sons, and four sons of his second uncle.

Athamneh said that it was 5:30 at the morning, everybody were sleeping, when they heared the very strong blast of the first explosion which landed at his cousins house, followed by screaming and crying.
He ran out, found his relatives, old and young men running in the streets, escaping from the shelling and looking for protection in other places, but that this did not help them to escape from the Israeli shelling.
The "Autumn Clouds" rained missiles on their heads.
They all were killed on the roads.
The whole place was converted into a collective grave.
Athamneh was shocked, he did not know how to save the life of his family and relatives, everybody was bleeding and the floor was covered by a big pool of blood!
He saw the horrible death in front of his eyes.
His cousin’s wife died with her two children while he was screaming and seeking the Ambulance.
Nobody was able to come near under the heavy, blind shelling killing everybody moving in the area.

Today Saturday, the US, who said in advance that Israel has the right to defend itself and gave the Palestinian resistance the responsibility for the massacre, vetoed a draft UN Security Council resolution condemning an Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip that killed 20 Palestinian civilians and injured more 60.
The disgusting American Psychopath Bolton described the text as 'unbalanced' and 'biased against Israel and politically motivated'.
Does anyone wonder why the Palestinian resistance is shooting missiles toward Israel, which by the way never really reach anything?
The reason is simple: the big concentration camp which is Gaza, where a million and a half people are caged, impoverished and hungry, and where almost all civilian infrastructure has been left in ruins caused by Israel.
The increased poverty and real hunger which the Palestinians suffer in their reclusion:
The shortage of food for the children,
The damaged infrastructure which the occupation left behind,
The closed entrances of the city,
The daily killings and destruction — including the bombing of the power station — in Gaza,
These reasons are enough for anyone to fight against the Genocide and look for a better life to live.
Does anyone wonder how much the face of the Israeli occupation is bloody, ugly and inhuman?
Does anybody wonder how much the American leaders are criminals in their support to Israel?
When will the world give Israel a firm ultimatum to stop the occupation, the genocide which has been going on for about 60 years now?

Seeking International Military Forces in Palestine
Why did the European politicians not adopt the request of the Palestinians, who asked for European military forces to be sent to Palestine to protect them and the infrastructure from the Israeli crimes?
We are really seeking International military forces to stop the bloody crimes against Palestine, to make a halfways normal life possible.
The Palestinians Authority does not really exist any more.
Abbas and the people around him don’t have even the power to protect their underpants.
The Palestinian civilians lost their trust to the P.A. long time ago, when it became evident that they are a bunch of corrupt, sold-out traitors.
The Palestinian civilians are seeking protection against the Jewish criminals, and they will be thankful for anybody who will stop the crimes commited against them.
Please, send military forces to stop the Israeli rampage in Gaza and the West Bank.
Part of the images here come from the Al-Ittihad newspaper, part of them were submitted by somebody from Beit Hanoun who lost seven friends and relatives during this last Israeli rampage.
His only comment was "that's life", because he knows, as all those who live in Gaza, that his life is worth nothing.

Israel hails US military aid rise
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has confirmed that the United States is planning a significant increase in military and government aid to Israel.
US Democrats and Republicans Have Enough Votes To End The Palestine Israel conflict
[If They Choose To Do So]
US Democrats and Republicans simply have to block passage of any bill that would continue to fund the Israel government.
This requires not 67 or 60 US Senate votes, or even 51, but just 41 — the number of US senators needed to maintain a filibuster and prevent a bill from coming up for a vote.
In other words, the US Democrats and Republicans have more than enough votes to end the Palestine conflict — if they choose to do so.
The US Democratic and Republican leadership may believe — rightly or wrongly — that such a strategy would entail unacceptable political costs, especially with the high level funding from AIPAC and other Israel backed monetary support.
But that's very different from being unable to affect policy.
To insist that the US Congress cannot stop the Palestine conflict obscures the actual choices facing the US people — by confusing "can't" with "won't.

The Court ruled:
1) Israel's right to self-defense does not justify the infringement on Palestinian rights caused by its building of the wall barrier in the West Bank.
2) Construction of the Israeli wall was "tantamount to annexation" and impeded the Palestinian right to self-determination.
3) Israel should compensate owners of land seized to construct the barrier and those harmed by the barrier.
4) All states are under obligation not to recognise the situation and ensure Israel's compliance with international law.
Politicians of disgust

Bloomberg News   July 9, 2004
“This fence is a legitimate response by a sovereign nation, a democratic nation, to protect its citizens.   It is clear to me that this fence saves lives,” U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton, Democrat of New York, said in a speech near the UN today.
The court ruling is: “not to be accepted by people who understand the legitimate needs of democratic nations to defend themselves.”
Kewe comment:
These are the people — including Bush and the Republicans — but especially these people, because they fawn and abase themselves in obsequious behaviour for the support of the pro-Zionist Israeli lobby within their constituency, taking the substantial reward of monies for the use of their political careers.
It is US Taxpayer money that props up the present Zionist Israli government, US taxpayer money used to supply the Zionist Israeli military with its supposed needs.
It is these people, these politicians of disgust — and if there is a hell there has to be a special place reserved for such — that have not only allowed but furthered and nurtured over these many years the attitude from the people of Israel, most not born to the land, that they have a legitimate right to exclude the people of Palestine from the farms and olive reserves who's fathers and mothers and grandfathers and grandmothers going back generation upon generation have maintained.
The US taxpayer has and is supplying the money for US made bulldozers to tear down the olive trees.
US taxpayer money has and is supplying the highest technical armaments that are perpetuating this human misery.  US taxpayer money is allowing one grouping of people to overlord in a most vicious way another grouping, a grouping who do have right to the land that they are now excluded from.
The West has long lost all meaning of reason, respect and sanity.
It is now firmly under the will of that which is called the Devil, Satan — the dream of Lucifer.

Brown criticised over embryo bill
Cardinal Keith O'Brien

Cardinal O'Brien has written to Gordon Brown with his concerns
Cardinal O'Brien has written to Gordon Brown with his concerns
The leader of the Catholic church in Scotland has urged Gordon Brown to rethink "monstrous" plans to allow hybrid human-animal embryos.
Cardinal Keith O'Brien will use his Easter Sunday sermon to launch a scathing attack on over the government's controversial proposals.
He will also call on the prime minister to allow Labour MPs a free vote on the issue at Westminster.
Mr Brown has said the bill would improve research into many illnesses.
Supporters of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill believe hybrid embryos could lead to cures for diseases including multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's disease.
Speaking at Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday, Mr Brown said: "This is an important Bill that improves the facilities for research and is vital for dealing with life-threatening diseases."
But in his sermon, which was released on Friday, Cardinal O'Brien claims that the Bill would lead to the endorsement of experiments of "Frankenstein proportion".
He will say: "This Bill represents a monstrous attack on human rights, human dignity and human life.
"In some European countries one could be jailed for doing what we intend to make legal.
We are about to have a public government endorsement of experiments of Frankenstein proportion
Cardinal Keith O'Brien
"I can say that the government has no mandate for these changes: they were not in any election manifesto, nor do they enjoy widespread public support."
The Cardinal will describe the practice as "grotesque" and "hideous".
He will add: "One might say that in our country we are about to have a public government endorsement of experiments of Frankenstein proportion - without many people really being aware of what is going on."
Free vote
Cardinal O'Brien goes on to call for the establishment of a "single permanent national bioethics commission".
He has written to Mr Brown to tell him that this would be the only way in which the issue can be "adequately discussed".
A proposed amendment to the bill which would have prohibited the creation of inter-species embryos, known as human admixed embryos, was defeated by 268 votes to 96 in the House of Lords in January.
Labour peers were instructed to follow the party whip by voting against the proposed amendment.
Conservative leader David Cameron has called on Mr Brown to allow Labour MPs to have a free vote on the bill when it returns to the House of Commons later in the year.
Free votes allow MPs to vote according to their own beliefs rather than following the party whip.
Mr Brown has said a decision on whether a free vote will be held would be taken "in due course".

The Story of Palestinians Childhoods
Najwa Sheikh in Gaza
March 18, 2008
As if the Israelis well practiced the devices and techniques to kill the hope inside us the Palestinians, the last operation in Gaza, proves that the killing machine of the Israelis is now created to put more pain and bitterness on the people of Gaza by targeting their small tiny buds, the innocent children, from infants up to toddlers, to even teenagers, and the only reason is that they are Palestinians.
Four boys killed while playing football
I still can not erase the images that stuck on my mind of the killed children of Dardouna family who were playing football in their house yard in Jabalia.
Like an addicted I was searching for the story details, as if the images with all its sorrow, grieve, and bloody color was not enough for me.
“I was playing with my cousins” said Yehya, “Suddenly we were targeted.   Ahmed’s head was far away from his body.   I did not feel my legs.   I was screaming as well as the other kids.   We were not kids anymore”
“I saw parts of my cousins bodies flies around me” the boy continued.
Unlike other fathers who mourn the death of their children, Ali’s father can not show his grief nor can he cries the death of his 8 years child.
The father is deaf and dumb.
All what left to him is a piece of his son cloth covered with blood that he holds tightly.
Anas Attalah
Anas Attalah, was in the dessert for a one year marriage.
His house received a missile from an F16.
The boy lost his father.
Two aunts, both grandparents and the mother was injured.
He was thrown away meters from his house, a three weeks old baby.
I still remember how tiny, peaceful, dreamful they are in this age.
“Nothing kept for Anas to remember his father.   Every thing was burned” the mother said
“I just want to ask what did my three weeks baby did the Israelis.   He is just a helpless baby”.
Anas is still in the hospital and doctors can not determine the size of damage that will affect Anas and his body for all of his life!
Mohamed Al Buri
Mohamed Al Buri five months old, was the light that added to his parents lives after five years of their attempts to have a child.
Their small house was full of toys even that needs years so the boy can play with.
All were left covered with dust and questions.
“Why my son was killed.   He was peacefully sleeping in his cradle.   I only have the chance to hold him for five months.   I was counting the days when he can say mother,” the grieved mother said.
Amira Aser
“The Israelis don’t think that I have suffered enough during the pregnancy and delivery time.”
“They wanted to put more sufferings and pain on me,” said Amira’s mother.
The 19 days old baby killed by shrapnel that hits her head in Khanyounis.
“I was holding her in my arms when the Israeli soldiers started to shoot at me.   A bullet hit into my shoulder.   They left me bleeding for three hours.   I though my baby was sleeping in my arms.”
“I only knew a day after when I wake up at the hospital and asked to see her.”
Unforgotten moments that were longer that the nine months of pregnancy, longer than the delivery pain, and longer than the 19 days of my daughter age!
These images are the last but not least, the circle of targeting what brought us happiness, hope and joy will continue, form Mohamed El Durra, to huda Ghalyia, to many other stories about children who are not children any more, and who are sentenced to death even before they are given the chance to grow up and to be what they are meant to be.

But you see it wasn't the Israelis that killed the children.
Oh!  They did it. They will have to accept the responsibility for the murders.
But the US taxpayer killed the children.
And the people who made the missiles and weapons
They are the ones who really did the killings.

Who is Paying the Price
Vietnam
A middle-aged Vietnamese man lost his parents and siblings in an American napalm attack on their village in 1967.
He was burned also, but survived.
As Ralph McGehee and others have made quite clear, the Vietnamese people’s crime was wanting to be free of the white man’s yoke, and America killed off several million Southeast Asians to keep them enslaved to the capitalistic order.
Hiroshima — Nagasaki
An elderly Japanese man lives in Nagasaki today, and lived there as a child in 1945.
Although Japan had been trying to surrender for months, the U.S. stonewalled Japanese surrender attempts so they could demonstrate their secret weapon, the atom bomb.
The 1945 bombings were vengeance on the Japanese for Pearl Harbor and a demonstration of power to the Soviet Union.
Although the justification for the Hiroshima bomb was weak, and in light of current scholarship (Gar Alperovitz's, among others), difficult to take seriously, Nagasaki was a great crime against humanity.
That elderly man lost his parents and entire family in the Nagasaki bombing, a bombing that intentionally targeted a city, to demonstrate the bomb's devastating impact.
He still suffers from the wounds he received in the bombing, including radiation poisoning.
Ironically, the man was raised as a Christian, and Nagasaki had Japan’s largest Christian community.
The United States has never apologized and still justifies the bombings.
Indonesia
A mother of five works in an American shoe factory today in Indonesia.
The factory was moved there in the 1990s, throwing thousands of Americans out of work.
Indonesian labor was cheaper, and the shoe company did not have to adhere to American standards of worker safety and treatment.
Wages were low largely because the United States actively supported a military coup in Indonesia in 1965.
When Suharto came to power with U.S. help, the first thing he did was murder about a million Indonesian citizens.
They formed the political opposition to his dictatorial rule, and mainly belonged to the Communist Party.
The CIA drew up lists of people, and the Indonesian army rounded them up and murdered them all.
Thus, with the Indonesian people put into virtual bondage, the "investors" from the West flocked to Indonesia, moving factories there and drilling for oil, knowing that their pawn would keep the masses in line.
That woman's parents were murdered in Suharto's political "cleansing" in 1965, and she was eventually reduced to working in the new American shoe factory, making a few cents per hour.
When the workers in her factory recently went on strike because of their inhumane working conditions, the shoe company asked the Indonesian government to send their brutal soldiers to bludgeon those striking workers.
Suharto and his cronies stole about $60 billion from the Indonesian people, thereby bankrupting the economy.
The United States and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) rode to the rescue and "loaned" Indonesia about forty billion dollars to stay solvent.
Part of such a "rescue package" is the imposition of "Structural Adjustment Programs" that essentially cut out such "frills" as affordable food and heat for the Indonesian masses, so they can pay back the "loan."
The loan, like Suharto's looting, never makes it into the hands of the citizenry.
Starvation and other austerity measures are imposed on them to pay off the "loan."
The U.S. and IMF have provided that kind of "help" to scores of Third World nations, and they starve while they export food and other commodities to the United States in order to earn "foreign exchange," to pay off the loan.
It is merely shell-game slavery, and America gets cheap imports out of the deal.
Guatemala
A thirty-year-old man picks bananas for United Fruit Company in Guatemala, the company that brings us Chiquita bananas.
His parents were murdered in the 1980s by the Guatemalan government.
The United States, at the behest of United Fruit Company (and the Secretary of State and CIA director were investors), overthrew the democratically elected government of Guatemala in 1954. [1]
The president of Guatemala, Jacobo Arbenz, was a fan of Franklin Roosevelt, and embarked on building a New Deal-style economy, and providing everybody a minimum standard of living.
United Fruit thought that it owned Guatemala, and the American government conspired with United Fruit to overthrow Arbenz in a coup.
The American Secretary of State and his brother, the CIA’s director, literally had a financial stake in the coup.
For about the next forty years, Guatemala was ruled by a series of U.S.-backed dictators that eventually began slaughtering the political opposition in their nation.
The carnage became the worst in the 1980s, when the Guatemalan army murdered that banana picker’s parents as they tried to organize the banana workers.
That banana picker today cannot properly feed his son, who at the age of four still cannot walk on his own, but American consumers get cheap bananas.
Iraq
An Iraqi mother recently lost her teenage son, as the trigger-happy American occupiers gunned him down as they “lit up” a street where the boy was walking.
A decade earlier, she lost her three-year-old daughter to an intestinal ailment caused by contaminated water.
The water was contaminated because the United States specifically targeted the infrastructure of Iraq during the so-called Gulf War, and then imposed an economic embargo that denied the Iraqi people supplies such as chlorine to purify their water, because it could have been "diverted" to military uses.
Iraq used to have the best medical care in the Middle East, but the United States reduced Iraq to Third World status as we denied them food, medicine and other necessities.
The woman’s husband was conscripted into the Iraqi army during the 1980s and was killed by the United States in the first Gulf War.
Well more than one million Iraqi citizens have prematurely died since 1991 because of U.S. actions that continue to this day.
Several hundred thousand of the dead are children under the age of five.
It is all part of a U.S. effort to control the region’s oil supplies and bludgeon anybody who steps out of line.
Extreme abuse of animals
Although they cannot articulately tell us their suffering, all across America, pigs, cows and chickens live hellish lives in factory farms in order to provide McDonald’s and other firms the cheapest possible meat, milk and eggs.
In addition, tens of millions of animals in America die each year from experiments performed on them.
They die so that companies can test drugs, shampoo, and other consumer products.
Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, a woman works in a clothing factory for an American corporation, making pennies an hour, barely able to feed her family.
Where she works used to be called Bengal, which was perhaps the richest region on earth when the British conquered it (which was why they set about conquering it).
Under the banner of the British East India Company the British raped Bengal, just as the colonial masters raped the inhabitants of every colony they established.
Today, Bangladesh is one of earth’s most miserable places, a direct result of centuries of British exploitation.
Chile
Today in Chile, an American logging firm is clear-cutting the timber there, and the logs are being shipped to a mill in Oregon for processing.
America no longer chops down its forests with its former abandon, but forests abroad are now being decimated to supply America with wood.
Philippines
A Filipino man works as a cabin boy on a luxury cruise ship that sails across the world's seas.
He and his ancestors have lived under the white man's brutal rule for nearly five hundred years.
The Spanish first colonized the Philippines, then the United States stole the islands in the Spanish-American War, for the U.S.' first colony near Asia.
Filipinos originally fought alongside the United States against their hated Spanish oppressors, but after the revolution ended it became obvious that the Americans had merely supplanted the Spanish as the new imperial overlords.
The Filipinos revolted, and the U.S. killed about 200,000 Filipinos to keep their new colony in shackles.
It was not until World War II that the Japanese overthrew the U.S. overlords, but the Japanese were just as bad as the Americans and probably worse.
After World War II, the Americans reinstalled themselves as the imperial overlords and kept the Filipino people in bondage.
They set the stage for the fascist system that has existed there.
One side effect is women ending up being prostitutes for American soldiers, and men end up working as cabin boys on cruise ships, rarely seeing their families but sending money back home so their children can eat.
It is a miserable life, but Americans and other Westerners get cheap luxury cruises and sex.
US Prisons, Microsoft labour, CIA
There are more than two million [Now three million — one American is in prison per each 100 Americans — ed TheWE.biz ] Americans living behind bars today.
Most of them are not in there for what a rational person would call a crime, but for "crimes" related to drug use.
They are almost exclusively America's poor, and doing drugs was an attempt to escape, however briefly, the pain of their miserable lives.
Ironically the CIA is probably the world’s biggest drug runner, so it not only helps kill millions of foreign people, while making millions more miserable, but it pays for their oppression by selling drugs to America’s poor.
The prison industry is booming in America, and instead of shipping American jobs abroad, some American companies are closing down factories in the free sector and rebuilding them in prisons, where the labor is cheap and in the strongest sense, captive.
Microsoft, run by some of the world's richest men, has used that prison labor to keep its labor costs down, as have many other American firms.
This dynamic has created a powerful incentive to keep building prisons (prisons are also becoming privatized) and filling them up with prisoners (disproportionably people of color), ushering in a new era of slave labor.
Bill Gates and Paul Allen
A few miles from where Bill Gates and Paul Allen live (with an aggregate net worth of many billions of dollars), thousands of people are homeless and sleep on the streets each night.
Allen even bought an election in 1997 and ran an ad campaign to convince the public to pay hundreds of millions of dollars for a stadium they did not need, so Allen could rake in more money.
Where the stadium was built, homeless people slept, so they had to find new alleys to sleep in (there are some silver linings in this litany, one of which was Bill Gates donating $40 million to help homeless women and children in July 2000, although charity is a poor substitute for justice).
Michigan jobs shipped to Mexico
A black man in Michigan today works the fry machine and cash register at McDonald’s, making about eight dollars an hour.
He used to work at an auto company, making nearly twenty dollars an hour.
His job was eliminated when it was shipped to Mexico, where the auto company only has to pay two dollars an hour and does not have to adhere to American safety and environmental laws.
First Nation people
A Native American man lives on the Sioux reservation on Pine Ridge in the nation's poorest county.
Deceptive and dishonest treaties forced on his ancestors by the Americans stole their lands, and many Native Americans were slaughtered outright.
To this day, the reservation natives live dire lives, with a life expectancy nearly thirty years less than the average American's.
The injustices continue, and the policies against the natives are subtler than they used to be, but are still exploitative.
Cancer
In the Pacific Northwest lives a man who lost his wife to cancer.
In the early 1990s, she was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer and was given little chance of survival.
The couple heard about a clinic in Mexico that cured people of cancer like hers.
She went there and the treatment miraculously reversed her cancer.
During her treatment, armed bounty hunters for the U.S. Justice Department kidnapped the man treating the woman's cancer, at gunpoint.
They delivered him to the United States, where the man spent years behind bars for the crime of curing cancer.
The man worked in Mexico precisely to stay out of an American prison, and kidnapping him was a gross violation of international law, but that is how American "justice" works.
The woman grappled with the bounty hunters as they kidnapped the man, and without his treatment, she died.
Her story is common in America, where all the cancer treatments that work have been outlawed, and the ones that do not work (and even kill off the patients) are the only legal "treatments," and make big money for the medical establishment.
A half million Americans die needlessly every year from cancer, while the medical establishment rakes in the money.
A similar situation exists with artery diseases, which kills a million Americans a year.

Hello:
I do believe since I have been reading your emails and blogs that this is the first issue, not to mention serious issue of disagreement.
(The Dalai Lama himself, in this year´s March 10 message, explicitly supported the Beijing Olympics, which puts him at odds with TPUM:
The Dalai Lama is, as usual, right.)
Well, when something is right, it is right.
Well, when something is wrong, it is wrong.
Both you and the Dalai Lama are being 'Good Germans,' I am very sad to say.
The Dalai Lama is merely a man, and this stated by someone who has also dealt most of his life with spiritual issues.
He is a man, and like us all not a God, and makes mistakes, many of them I have no doubt, but I am not always in the presence of the Dalai Lama.
Being a 'Good German' will not bring Tibet closer to freedom.
What will, is that the world shun China, until it gives up Tibet.
(PRC´s rule over a quarter of its landmass starts to look less like occupation and more like counterinsurgency.)
This comment reflects more of where you were coming from before your blog. Noted that you stated you did have an opinion prior to this about the Olympics.
In actuality I did not.
Not until today. The BBC report by someone, focused it for me:
http://thewe.biz/contents/more/archive/circus.html
I have of course always been against China occupying the country of Tibet.
(PRC´s rule over a quarter of its landmass starts to look less like occupation and more like counterinsurgency.)
This land was never China's and never will be.
Your making it China's will not even bring this about.
Tibet and the Palestine people are both in the same position.
Again, a Good German is a Good German is a Good German and applies whether you are under the rule of China and outside its ability to imprison and kill you, or under its grip.
You can never get away from the fact that submitting to tyranny makes you a tyrant.
The Dalai Lama's reasoning is laughable, and so very, very, sad, in that it will be picked up by everyone seeking for an excuse to look away.
For someone who supposedly spent his life trying to spread the message of freedom for Tibet, this is the saddest moment yet, for that country, and will perhaps see the end to the Dalai Lama dynasty, which does not predate the people, but is superimposed from Buddhist teaching coming from India, as you know.
There is no other issue but freedom for the Tibet people.
There is no politics or reasoning that can step this issue aside.
We from the rest of the world should and must do everything in our power to support this attempt at freedom.
If we do not wish to be Good Germans.
Kewe.
TheWE.biz
I think that anyone who goes to China for the Olympic Games is a coconspirator in the death and injury being caused to Tibet people in their bid to reestablish their country
Sometimes there are more important issues, even than sport
I realise this will get TheWE.biz filtered from being seen in China

Lhasa eyewitness: 'City in cinders'
Police and army patrolling the streets of Lhasa

The army has been out in force on the streets of Lhasa
The army has been out in force on the streets of Lhasa
After days of violent street protests, a Western tourist in Lhasa, who wishes to remain anonymous, describes a tense, deserted city firmly in the hands of the Chinese military.
The city is in complete shutdown.   There is no atmosphere whatsoever on the streets because there is a curfew and the streets are totally deserted.
This evening we have heard a few sporadic blasts once every few hours.
Right now, I'm looking at buildings that are burnt out.   The city is absolutely burnt to cinders.   It's trashed.
Nobody is allowed to leave our hostel without a military or police escort.   I tried to leave the hostel three times.   Each time I was stopped by the military or the police who prevented me from even going to the shop across the road.
Yesterday was calmer.   Today, once again, people feel more on edge.   Earlier today, trucks were rolling down the street outside our hostel bringing in thousands of troops.
The ultimatum set by the Chinese government for protesters to give themselves up is due to expire tomorrow.   That is going to be the day that will decide a lot.
'Forcibly removed'
Our current hostel is in a safe area, in a kind of 'green zone' as people are calling it.   The worst of the violence was in the centre and east of the city.
Some tourists who were in the east were forcibly removed from their hotels and hostels.   Police turned up today and tried to forcibly remove all of us to a hotel further out west.
The sense is that we are not going to be allowed to walk the streets and observe the carnage.   During the violence police were confiscating SIM cards from people's cameras.
The electricity in our hostel is out even though all the buildings nearby have electricity.   You sense that it might be because they know tourists with cameras and email accounts are here and could contact the outside world.
The manager of this hostel is very unhappy about the amount of Westerners still here.   They would rather we were all gone.
'Mass hysteria'
I can understand the fear.
Our major concern was being burnt because protesters were setting fire to buildings
I was in a Chinese-run hostel at the height of the violence on Friday and it was terror.   People were hysterical.   Property was completely damaged.   We were on the rooftop of the hostel and witnessed the chaos.
We were looking out over Lhasa and the entire city was on fire.
As the unrest broke out the demonstrators were simply being contained by the police.   The protest seemed organised initially but it quickly turned into an unruly mob ethic which targeted Chinese people and businesses.
We watched as the crowd got closer to our own hostel.
Our hostel was largely occupied by Chinese people and they were panic-stricken.   They armed themselves with anything they could find; beer bottles, meat cleavers.   They started to break chairs and windows to arm themselves.
There was mass hysteria.
Our major concern was being burnt because protesters were setting fire to buildings.   When they got to our building, we armed ourselves with fire extinguishers.
The violence may have begun on Friday at 2pm but it felt like it had been brewing for 50 years.   It was frustration that had spilled over.   People had taken too much.   That was the impression we got.
Tibetans wanted the world to know what they were doing.

A brief Hate statement...
Friday, March 14, 2008
I really hate America, Americans, their culture, their ways,
their accent, their politics, their arrogance, their stupidity,
their ignorance...
I really can't stand Americans. I can't stand their men, their
women, their country, everything they represent...

Farewell to Baghdad
I truly, deeply, sincerly hate them.
I will elevate this hatred to an Art form.
What colors do you think I should use?
I love colors and I find them to be a colorless people...
So what colors should I use?
Gray, Black or Red ?
Or maybe just White ?
I have this idea of taking an old sheet, a dirty sheet... burn the edges, stab it with knifes and make holes in it, over a million holes, then throw in some bright red, like rain drops...
At other times, I fantasize about using the Abu Ghraib excrements and smudging the sheet with it, then collectively wipe your faces with it.
Wipe your faces with the shit of the detainees you tortured.
Sometimes, my fantasy takes on a perverted twist, you must be a contagious lot with your perversity.
So I imagine a dirty sheet, covered with semen from forced masturbation, and have a few penises dangle on the corners, the penises you castrated, have them dangle there...
And then give it a few brushes and strokes of hemorrhaging blood from the wombs of the women you raped.
This will be your new American flag.
Then you can all gather under that flag and we will take pictures of you.
Don't forget to say cheese, will you?
You know something, all the Americans I come across, the ones who are polluting the Middle East like some bacterial disease, they all know how much we hate you deep down...
They invariably start their sentences with "I'm an American, I hope you don't hate me"...
And we give you the same stuff over and over...
No of course not, we have nothing against the American people...
It's your government.
A lie...
'Paramedic Sattar Taha killed by American bombing Aug. 8, 2007'
The New York Times summed it up like this in Saturday's edition:
"If the Fed hadn't acted this morning and Bear did default on its obligations, then that could have triggered a widespread panic and potentially a collapse of the financial system".
Fed Chairman Bernanke sat on the board of the FOMC when the investment gurus and brokerage sharpies customized the markets in a way that enhanced their own personal fortunes while increasing the risks of systemic failure.
The SIVs, the conduits, the opaque derivatives, the off-balance sheets operations, the dark pools, the massive leverage, and the reckless expansion of credit; all emerged during his (and Greenspan's) tenure.
Then, on Wednesday of this week, the unthinkable happened.
Carlyle Capital went bankrupt.
Who?
That’s Carlyle as in Carlyle Group.
James Baker, Senior Counsel. Notable partners, former and past: George Bush, the Bin Laden family and more dictators, potentates, pirates and presidents than you can count.
The Fed had to act.
Bernanke opened the vault and dumped $200 billion on the poor little suffering bankers.
They got the public treasure — and got to keep the Grinning’s house.
There was no ‘quid’ of a foreclosure moratorium for the ‘pro quo’ of public bailout.
Not one family was saved — but not one banker was left behind.

Something you will not be able to buy, even with gold, makes gold somewhat pointless
Until things start to get better
Then it will be good to have stored gold

The Monetary Base has turned down. That is the monetary base is being eroded faster than it can be replaced as debt destruction continues to accelerate. The Fed is ‘injecting’ liquidity through REPO agreements. The Fed is NOT ‘printing’ money. Either way, debt destruction is exceeding liquidity injections. As I wrote in my first post:

“In the land of economics, debt and money are ‘fungible’. That simply means they are interchangeable and for all intents and purposes the same. Debt is money and money is debt. The sudden rapid destruction of debt (every write down you hear coming out of the financial sector) has the effect of destroying money. If debt is destroyed fast enough, and it will be, then you get a rather sudden contraction in money supply. This is known as DEFLATION… and it ALWAYS happens when a debt bubble bursts. ALWAYS.”

Meltdown Looms Larger as Credit Markets Freeze            MIKE WHITNEY
"So it would be rational for the banks to take Carlyle's assets and exchange them for top-quality, liquid US government bonds, rather than leave loans in place to a business, Carlyle, whose assets remain highly illiquid gone."   [Modification by TheWE.biz]

To grasp how significant this five-fold bubble increase is, let's put that $516 trillion in the context of some other domestic and international monetary data:
* U.S. annual gross domestic product is about $15 trillion
* U.S. money supply is also about $15 trillion
* Current proposed U.S. federal budget is $3 trillion
* U.S. government's maximum legal debt is $9 trillion
* U.S. mutual fund companies manage about $12 trillion
* World's GDPs for all nations is approximately $50 trillion
* Unfunded Social Security and Medicare benefits $50 trillion to $65 trillion
* Total value of the world's real estate is estimated at about $75 trillion
* Total value of world's stock and bond markets is more than $100 trillion
* BIS valuation of world's derivatives back in 2002 was about $100 trillion
* BIS 2007 valuation of the world's derivatives is now a whopping $516 trillion
Recently Pimco's bond fund king Bill Gross said "What we are witnessing is essentially the breakdown of our modern-day banking system, a complex of leveraged lending so hard to understand that Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke required a face-to-face refresher course from hedge fund managers in mid-August."
In short, not only Warren Buffett, but Bond King Bill Gross, our Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, the Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and the rest of America's leaders can't "figure out" the world's $516 trillion derivatives.

Buffett and Gross warn: $516 trillion bubble is a disaster waiting to happen
Humankind as we know it at the 'End Point'

Don't forget:

Behind it all is the desire for depopulation — by those rich enough to have their islands for temporary residence while depopulation takes place.

Doesn't matter if it is killing in the fight for food when the trucks no longer arrive at your local supermarket.

Doesn't matter if it is tribe against tribe.

Or thermobaric bombs — environmentally friendly compared to nuclear.   Bombs that send ultra-sonic shock waves and searing fireballs to destroy everything in their dropping wake.

Or those special bombs that do not destroy the infrastructure — kill only you and those you love.

You are in the way, folks!

There are too many of you!

This is the plan.

He says, "You are quite mad, Kewe"
And of course I am.
Why, I don't believe any of it — not the bloody body, not the bloody mind, not even the bloody Universe, or is it bloody multiverse.
"It's all illusion," I say.   "Don't you know, my lad, my lassie.   The game!   The game, me girl, me boy!   Takes on interest, don't you know.   T'is me sport, till doest find a better!"
Pssssst — but all this stuff is happening down here
