Israeli settlers prevent a prayer in Beit Sahour, assault worshippers

As the mass started, the settlers, who organized an activity in the same site, started to provoke the worshippers and asked them to leave, eyewitnesses reported.
Settlers also threatened some of the local and international journalists who were present.
The Israeli soldiers who were there asked the internationals and the Palestinians to leave the park and did not attempt to stop the settlers when they started to force everyone to leave, the witnesses said.
The city council of Beit Sahour is planning to build a children hospital in the site in cooperation with intentional organization CURE.
However, the Israeli army imposed a military order on the designated area and the settlers started to frequently plan activities on the site and claimed that the land belongs to them and that they want to built a settlement on this land.
The worshippers raised their prayers for the sake of the children of Bethlehem in order to have the planned hospital built.
The settlers, who come from the neighboring illegal settlements of Har Homa and Efrat and others in the Bethlehem area, erased murals that some Palestinian and international activists had made a week ago and wrote some racist graffiti, calling for the death of Arabs.
There were around 200 settlers in the site, participating a lecture titled, "From Destruction to Diaspora."
Ush Ghrab, "Crow's Nest" in Arabic, was occupied by the Israeli army in 1967 and was used as a military base.
In 2006 the army abandoned the site and the city council in Beit Sahour rehabiliatated the site and turned part of it into a public park, and had a plan to build a hospital on the rest of it, in addition to some other facilities that would server the local community in Bethlehem.

15 Arrested during Anti-War protests at Port of Tacoma and Fort Lewis Army

Anti-war demonstrations are ongoing at Port of Tacoma since Wednesday, July 30th, 2008.
Protesters and observers have gathered at the port, despite harassment by law enforcement such as the demanding identification, arbitrary detention of pedestrians and use of physical violence.
Six arrests have taken place at Port of Tacoma, all of which are unjustified and used to intimidate protesters from expressing their first amendment rights to oppose the occupation of Iraq.
With the return of the equipment of the 4th Stryker Brigade 2nd Combat Infantry Division at the Port of Tacoma, Port Militarization Resistance (PMR) and other groups continue to protest the use of civilian ports in the Northwest for the revolving door policy of redeployment.
Regionally, the port demilitarization movement, comprising of PMR and others has brought out hundred of protesters from all over the northwest and has resulted in over 150 arrests in the last 2-1/2 years.
It is the largest and longest sustained direct action movement in the Northwest in opposition to the US war and occupation of Iraq – a war that has resulted in the death of over 4,000 US soldiers and hundreds of thousand of Iraqi civilians.

By Friday Night/Early Saturday morning protests moved to the gates of Fort Lewis Military Base.
A total of nine arrests have taken place at various exits off of I-5, all in an attempt to stop the return of Strykers to the base to ready for redeployment.
This was the first time that the port demilitarization movement spread to the gates of a northwest army base.

“It has to be stopped and that is what we are doing.
“One of these ways is to do what we can to stop the machinery.”
On Saturday, three protesters were arrested at Exit 120.
Protests will continue through the duration of the use of the Port of Tacoma to transfer military equipment used in the illegal occupation of Iraq.
A Unity Rally to Demilitarize Our Ports and Communities is scheduled for Saturday, August 9th at 4pm at Schuster Parkway.

No reason for sudden prices increases For instance, while the price of petroleum has doubled in the past year, there is no solid evidence that increased demand has caused this huge jump nor has the U.S. dollar declined in value to that degree. Within the U.S., gasoline utilization is stagnant. That of China has grown but not enough to cause such an increase, while worldwide more biofuel is coming on-line. No obvious shortages And despite the “peak oil” scare, there are no obvious shortages in what is in the pipeline and ready to be refined and utilized today. This has led to surmisals that the price increases reflect activity in the commodities futures markets. Despite the uncertainty, the Washington Post commenced a major week-long series on July 27 by declaring with absolute certainty that “cheap gas is gone forever.” So what does the Post know that we don’t? Nothing accounts for doubling of crude oil prices within twelve-month window In fact none of the factors cited by the Post, including growth of the Chinese economy, can account for the aforesaid doubling of crude oil prices within a twelve-month window. By the Post’s own figures, world petroleum utilization has increased by only twenty-five percent in the last fifteen years. (Washington Post, July 27, 2008) Further, in spite of its certainty that it knew the causes of the problem and that higher prices are here to stay, only two months earlier, on May 27, the Post ran a lengthy article entitled, “Skyrocketing Oil Prices Stump Experts.” $90 billion flowed into biggest commodity indices Toward the end came this interesting statement: “’We see many of the essential ingredients for a classic asset bubble,’ said Edward Morse, chief energy economist at Lehman Brothers. Morse estimated that $90 billion has flowed into the biggest commodity indices in just more than two years, and more money has flowed into other exchanges, pushing up prices.” So is oil is being used as a hedge by investors to protect their wealth at a time of uncertainty? Richest of rich competing with each other Are the richest of the rich competing with each other to park their cash? It is known that among these investors are the oil companies themselves. Also, it is known that such commodity investments are often heavily leveraged by bank loans, often up to ninety-seven percent of investors’ capital. So the banks are in on it too. But this type of trading seems to be more than just a hedge. This type of trading seems political Its content is political. Ethically, it is deeply anti-human, even criminal, because higher fuel prices make everything else cost more in a world where fuel is needed for all that is produced or sold. Assault by rich on every living human being in world In fact it seems more like an assault by the rich on every living human being in the world, an assault that governments, under the hypnotism of neo-liberal free market fundamentalism á la Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan, are unable or unwilling to fight. And who, other than the oil companies, are these big investors? On June 19, 2008, David Bario of The American Law Daily reported on an interview with Philip McBride Johnson, a former CFTC chairman under President Reagan. Johnson now heads Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom's exchange-traded derivatives practice. He is not exactly a wild-eyed conspiracy theorist. Regarding activity in the petroleum futures market, Johnson said:
“The CFTC's economists are saying that supply and demand seem to be driving this.
But we have clients in the business that have experienced these markets for many, many years, and what I'm hearing from them is that they don't see any change in the fundamentals of supply and demand.”
Bario asked, “Is it a matter of institutional investors seeking shelter from the subprime crisis and the credit crunch?” Johnson replied:
“I don't know.
But I do know that speculators as a class do not agree on anything, and yet there is almost unanimity of opinion these days — and the money to make the opinions matter.
The fact that prices have been relentlessly trending up suggests a new type of market participant [with] a mentality that is traditionally more in line with investing in securities than trading in commodities.
If enough of these wealthy people, or funds, or other entities with a lot of capital decide to flip out of securities for a little while and go into commodities, and they're all looking for something that is going up, and you get enough billions of dollars thinking that way, then their wish comes true.”
So again, who exactly are these “wealthy people, or funds, or other entities” that may be manipulating the market of the world’s most important substance?
Surely government regulators must know.
Aren’t they able to trace market activity to the players involved?
The answer, Johnson said, is no, they can’t:
“The situation now is that the CFTC is sitting there looking at one screen, one piece of the picture, which is whatever is happening on the exchanges.
Meanwhile, an increasing volume in dollars is taking place in the form of over-the-counter activity where no one can see it… there is still a blind spot with respect to the true over-the-counter activity that is going on, which represents billions and billions of dollars.”
This trading in what the industry calls “dark pools” amounts to a third of all commodities activity, easily enough for the manipulators to remain hidden.
It takes place outside the regular commodities exchanges, where trading activity is relatively transparent.

The United States Congress has constitutional responsibility to regulate interstate commerce in order to secure “the general welfare.”

In last weekend’s edition of CounterPunch, Alexander Cockburn updates the ongoing persecution of Sami Al-Arian by federal prosecutors.
Al-Arian was a Florida university professor of computer science who was ensnared by the Bush Regime’s need to produce “terrorists” in order to keep Americans fearful and, thereby, amenable to the Bush Regime’s assault on US civil liberties.
The charges against Al-Arian were rejected by a jury, but the Bush Regime could not accept the obvious defeat.
If Al-Arian was not a terrorist, then other of the Bush Regime’s fabricated cases might fall apart, too.
US government proceeded to trash every known ethical rule of prosecution
In open view, the US Department of Justice (sic) proceeded to trash every known ethical rule of prosecution.
I don’t need to repeat the facts, as they are covered by Cockburn’s articles and in The Tyranny of Good Intentions.
Instead, I want to point out another meaning of the Al-Arian case.
The Justice (sic) Department itself knows that it is persecuting a totally innocent person for reasons of a political agenda — the need to convince gullible Americans of an ongoing terrorist threat.

The anthrax matter was again news last week when another US government scientist, Bruce E. Ivins, “committed suicide.”
Instantly, the deceased Ivins was fingered as the culprit.

Overnight a man, liked and respected by his colleagues, who had worked on American biological warfare weapons for years, became a deranged homicidal maniac who decided to murder Americans at random in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 by sending them letters containing anthrax.
I don’t believe a word of it.
But assume that it is true.
Blaming the anthrax letters on Ivins does not resolve the issue of why the Bush Regime lied to Brian Ross and used ABC to put the blame on Saddam Hussein in order to invade an innocent country.
Wouldn’t a government that would lie about something this serious lie about other serious matters?
The Bush Regime stands against against the truth.
That is why it pretends to have the power to prevent executive branch officials wanted for questioning by Congress from appearing before the people’s representatives.
Nothing could make clearer the contempt that the Bush Regime has for the American people and their elected representatives than its arrogant claim that it is unanswerable to them.
Obviously, neither the President nor the Vice President respect their oaths of office.

According to the discredited 9/11 Commission Report, a few Muslims hatched a multi-year plot that went undetected by the vast security agencies of the United States and its allies, and within one hour on one morning at four different locations defeated airport security, NORAD, the US Air Force, Vice President Cheney, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, the Pentagon’s defenses and crashed three hijacked airliners into the World Trade Center towers and the heart of the US military.
Muslims were able to achieve this fantastic feat operating out of caves in Afghanistan.

We now know for a fact that the “terrorist anthrax attack” had nothing whatsoever to do with Muslim terrorists.

Now that the dead Ivins can be conveniently blamed for the anthrax mailings, the Bush Regime can declare the case closed, thus protecting the false flag operation from further risk of exposure. The facts are too unsettling and many are relieved when the “mainstream media” spins the facts away. Many Americans find it too appalling that any part of “their” government, even a rogue operation, could possibly have been involved in any way in the 9/11 or anthrax attacks. No evidence — not even full confessions — could convince them otherwise. Many Americans have welcomed their brainwashing by the neoconservatives:

For the sake of argument, let’s accept this make-believe.
It does not explain why, in order to protect us from evil men, the US Constitution needs to be dismantled and civil liberties set aside.

Our Founding Fathers said that dismantling the Constitution and setting aside civil liberties are precisely what would make us unsafe in the extreme.
The Bush Regime has never explained how the civil liberties guaranteed by the Constitution interfere with any legitimate response to terrorism.

On July 18, 2008 The New York Times published an article by Israeli-Jewish historian, Professor Benny Morris, advocating an Israeli nuclear-genocidal attack on Iran with the likelihood of killing 70 million Iranians – 12 times the number of Jewish victims in the Nazi holocaust:

For it is the NYT, which informs the ‘educated classes’ in the US, its Sunday supplements, literary and editorial pages and which serves as the ‘moral conscience’ of important sectors of the cultural, economic and political elite.

Starkly and clinically insane is beyond question

That Morris is utterly, starkly and clinically insane is beyond question.
That the New York Times in publishing his genocidal ravings provides new signs of how power and wealth has contributed to the degeneration of Jewish intellectual and cultural life in the US.
To comprehend the dimensions of this decay we need only compare the brilliant tragic-romantic German-Jewish writer, Walter Benjamin, desperately fleeing the advance of totalitarian Nazi terror to the Israeli-Jewish writer, Benny Morris’ criminal advocacy of Zionist nuclear terror published in the New York Times.
The question of Zionist power in America is not merely a question of a ‘lobby’ influencing Congressional and White House decisions concerning foreign aid to Israel.
What is at stake today are the related questions of the advocacy of a nuclear war in which 70 million Iranians face extermination and the complicity of the US mass media in providing a platform, nay a certain political respectability for mass murder and global contamination.
Unlike the Nazi past, we cannot claim, as the good Germans did, that ‘we did not know’ or ‘we weren’t notified’, because it was written by an eminent Israeli academic and was published in the New York Times.

America's house price time bomb

With the American housing market in its worst crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s, President Bush is expected to sign into law a massive new government intervention designed to slow the slide.
The intervention would come as a little known quirk of US law threatens to drive down house prices even faster.
Faced with seemingly never-ending falls in the value of their properties, some American home-owners are taking radical action; they are choosing to walk away from homes and their mortgages.
In May 2006, at the height of the housing boom, Karen Trainer bought a $500,000 apartment in California — with money borrowed from her bank.
By this year, Karen still owed $500,000 on her mortgage, but her apartment was worth $200,000 less.
So she was deep in negative equity and, to make matters worse, the interest rate on her loan was about to increase.
"I thought 'this is crazy'," Ms Trainer says. "It just does not make financial sense."
Take the hit
As a successful professional, Karen could comfortably have managed the higher mortgage payments her bank demanded.
Instead, she decided to stop her mortgage payments altogether and let her bank repossess her apartment.
Her credit record will be badly damaged by the decision, but Ms Trainer expects this to recover soon.
"Generally speaking, within 5 years you are about back where you were, so my husband and I decided we'll take the hit and live with it."
Over to the bank
In California and much of the rest of America, there is a powerful incentive for homeowners such as Ms Trainer to walk away from their mortgage obligations.
Though banks can repossess and sell the homes of borrowers who stop paying their mortgages, under a legal quirk originating in the Great Depression of the 1930s, banks cannot easily pursue borrowers for any balance outstanding on the main mortgage on their homes.
Consequently, by walking away from her apartment, Ms Trainer has also walked away from the $200,000 loss on her property.
Her bank gets stuck with that.
Unthinkable option
Traditionally in America there is a social stigma attached to those who default on their debts, which should be a deterrent to walking away from your home.
But according to Susan Wachter, professor of real estate and finance at Wharton School of Business, in the depth of this crisis the social attitudes to such actions are changing.
"This is the kind of conversation that's going on at cocktail parties, at swimming pools," Professor Wachter says. "And suddenly this option which was truly unthinkable in the past becomes thinkable."
Worrying development
Ms Trainer says she feels no moral obligation to go on paying a loan on a property that is going to go on losing her money. She says her friends support her decision.
"I think people are taking a more cold-hearted look at it," she says.
"Is the bank going to pay for my retirement because I was a good girl and paid my mortgage, even though legally I didn't have to?"
Professor Wachter believes that, to date, most people have had their homes repossessed because they could not manage the repayments.
The trend of people now positively choosing to walk away because it makes financial sense to do so is a worrying new development.
"The dangers are extraordinary," Professor Wachter says.
"If all that is needed is that the house value is less than the mortgage value, there is a large number of homeowners in the United States who are in that situation".
No renegotiation
In the city of Stockton — the foreclosure, or repossession, capital of the US for 2007 — estate agent Kevin Morgan sells repossessed houses on behalf of the banks that now own them.
According to him, walking away has become commonplace.
"I would say it's probably 70% of the volume of our foreclosures right now," he says.
"It's a business decision for their family that the smartest thing they can do is walk away from their home."
As a sign of the changing times, some 60% of borrowers do not even bother to contact their banks to attempt a renegotiation of their loan, Mr Moran explains.
"They stop paying and they stop talking," he says. "They just plain walk away."
Total disaster
It is impossible to know for sure how many of the people who are now walking away from their homes could have gone on paying their mortgages.
But Professor Nouriel Roubini of New York University, one of the first economists to warn of the dangers of the American house price boom, believes the number of people positively choosing to walk away is growing rapidly.
"This is becoming a tsunami of voluntary defaults," Professor Roubini says.
"The losses for the financial system from people walking away could be of the order of one trillion dollars when the entire capital of the US banking system is only $1.3 trillion.
"You could have most of the US banking system wiped out, so this is a total disaster."
Which is why it is not just US policymakers who are hoping America's new, multi-billion dollar initiative to stabilise the housing market will succeed in its aims and thus make walking away less attractive.
Because if it fails, the economic fallout could be felt far beyond America's shores.

Since the 2003 American invasion, the figure breaks down to about 15,000 violent deaths a month.
The second study by researchers from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health uses samples of casualties from Iraqi households to extimate an overall figure of 601,027 Iraqis dead from violence between March 2003 and July 2006.
The new study is more representative, its researchers said, and the sampling is broader.
The study surveyed 1,849 Iraqi families in 47 different neighborhoods across Iraq with the selection of geographical areas in 18 regions across Iraq baseded on population size, not on the level of violence.
In the last week of September, the government barred the central morgue in Baghdad and the Health Ministry — the two main sources of information for civilian deaths — from releasing figures to the news media.
In October a note was issued from the government instructing officials not to release death totals to the UN.
The study uses a method similar to that employed in estimates of casualty figures in other conflict areas like Darfur and Congo. It sought to measure the number of deaths that occurred as a result of the war.
The figure is not exhaustive. A police official at Yarmouk Hospital in Baghdad who spoke on the condition of anonymity said he had seen nationwide counts provided to the hospital that indicated as many as 200 people a day were dying.
“We found deaths all over the country,” Gilbert Burnham, the principle author of the study said. Baghdad was an area of medium violence in the country, he said. The provinces of Diyala and Salahuddin, north of Baghdad, and Anbar to the west, all had higher death rates than the capital.

We know talks with God are usually personal.
Exempted you from Ten Commandments?
However, one cannot help but wonder if He has exempted you from the Ten Commandments He gave Moses and are the foundation of our civilized Christian society.
When you talk with God, Mr. President, did He tell you it is ok to ignore His commandment: "Thou shalt not kill," and allow you to support Sharon in his killing of innocent Palestinian Christians and Muslims, mostly infants, children, women and the old?
Are they not humans?
Like you, are they not God's children?
We know, Mr. President, you haven't personally killed another human.
Great lengths to not go to war in Vietnam
You went to great lengths not to go to the war in Vietnam — to kill or be killed.
You haven't personally killed an Iraqi citizen.
You just sent other Americans in harm's way to do it for you.
You haven't personally killed a Palestinian.

Bear false witness against thy neighbor?
When you talked to your God, did He tell you it is ok to disobey His commandment: "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor," as you have done against the Iraqis, claiming they had WMDs?
True, they are not your neighbors in Washington or Crawford.
They are Israel's neighbors and that makes them your neighbors, right?

Did God tell you that it is ok to terrorize these desperate people so they will endure a life of poverty and humiliation, and be forced to forfeit their few worldly possessions?
No, you, again, didn't personally take any of these, but when you stood beside Sharon and formed your nexus you became an important accessory.
When you "locked arms" with Sharon and said these people cannot return to their homeland, it reminded me of how our ancestors terrorized the Native Americans until they had no choice but to move to some of the most desolate parts of America.
Your spin team goes to great effort to portray Muslims as having a lack of regard for human life.

Did God say it is ok for you to order the killing and maiming of thousands of humans in Iraq — Christians, non-Christians and others?

Why Was JFK Murdered?

What made John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) such a threat to the “Shadow Government” that he had to be murdered?

To begin with, he was an “American” in the finest sense of that word; a student of history and of the classics; and a lover of the Republic.
JFK represented the best of the post-WWII generation.
He put the U.S. first in all things, particularly in the area of foreign policy.
JFK, unlike that insufferable blockhead currently occupying the White House, was a man of vision, too.
He said that we can “put a man on the moon,” and we did.
But, there is much more.
JFK had within his reach the financial resources to get elected, and more than enough money and influence to build a solid political machine to assure himself two terms in office, if he had lived.
In comparison, look at “Bubba Bill” Clinton.
He had little or no money of his own when the Wire Pullers “anointed” him to be the presidential standard bearer for the Democratic Party, in the 1992 election.
JFK wasn’t beholding to the Wire Pullers
This meant he was totally “dependent” on others to get himself elected.
And, after he won, it also meant that the former Arkansas governor “owed” the people who put him in office.
Whereas, JFK wasn’t beholding to the cunning Wire Pullers.
He was a free agent.
JFK could stand aloof from those contrivers.
He didn’t need them.

JFK was a free agent.
Here’s why: His dad, Joe Kennedy, Sr., had fairly deep pockets, and plenty of rich cronies, too, who could pitch in to help get his son elected, in 1960.
The women loved him also
In addition, JFK had a natural built in electoral constituency—a voting block—who favored his candidacy.
He was an intellectual, of Irish descent, Roman Catholic, young and a WWII Veteran, to boot, possessing a hero-like image.
And, for the most part, large segments of the African-American community felt a special kinship with him.
The women loved him also.
He was charming and better looking than most Hollywood stars of that era.
Many, too, in the rank and file of the then feisty Labor Movement were attracted to and inspired by his candidacy for the Oval Office.
The bosses of the Union Movement, with some notable exceptions, like Jimmy Hoffa, were inclined to give JFK the benefit of the doubt.
JFK was threat to Shadow Government
For all of the above reasons, JFK was a threat to the Shadow Government. (1)
After he was elected, he alarmed them further by showing a strong streak of independent thinking!
He consistently put America’s interests first.
This is what gave the members of the sinister cabal the idea to kill him and to make sure that the official inquiry about the “Crime of the Century” was subjected to a first class cover-up, which is officially labeled, “The Warren Commission.” (2)

This takes me to Jim Marrs.
He is one of our country’s finest crime and investigative reporters.
He is also a top-notch author. (3)
In his latest book: “The Rise of the Fourth Reich: The Secret Societies That Threaten to Take Over America,” he sets out his speculations about why JFK was eliminated.
Marrs writes, at p. 221: “By mid-1963, Kennedy was beginning to exert his autonomous influence over the most powerful—and violent—groups in U.S. society.
He was threatening to disband the CIA...withdraw U.S. troops from South Vietnam, close the tax breaks of the oil-depletion allowances; tighten control over the tax-free foreign assets of U.S. multinational corporations...and decrease the power of both Wall Street and the Federal Reserve System.
Issued $4.2 billion in United States notes without paying interest to Federal Reserve System
In June, 1963, Kennedy ordered the printing and release of $4.2 billion in United States notes, paper money issued through the Treasury Department ‘without paying interest’ to the Federal Reserve System, which is composed of twelve regional banks all controlled by ‘private banks’ whose owners often are ‘non-Americans.’”
Marrs added: “Obviously persons affected by these moves [of JFK] felt something had to be done.”
Marrs also reports, when speaking of the slaying of JFK, that one conspiracy expert said: “It had to happen. The man was ‘too independent’ for his own good.”

Opposed Israel’s nuclear weapons scheme
To top all of that off, JFK also opposed Israel’s nuclear weapons scheme.
Author Stephen Green tells us that not long after that Texas politico, Lyndon B. Johnson, succeeded to the presidency, JFK’s policy towards that controversial Nuke-producing project was reversed.
Green put it this way in his book, LBJ “saw no Dimona [Israel’s Los Alamos], heard no Dimona, and spoke no Dimona when the reactor went critical in 1964.” (4)
Peter Dale Scott in his tome, “Deep Politics and the Death of JFK,” insisted that JFK clearly wanted a withdrawal of U.S. troops from Vietnam, whether military conditions on the ground allowed it or not.
On Oct. 11, 1963, JFK issued “NSAM 263” to that effect.
LBJ reversed that directive, too, with “NSAM 273.”
Of all people, Noam Chomsky, attempted to disparage JFK’s intention with respect to getting out of Vietnam.
Why?

In the process, Chomsky ended up supporting the position of Leslie Gelb, who earlier was a Pentagon bureaucrat.
What happened to Gelb?
Oh, he later became President of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Like the hawkish Neocons, he promoted a preemptive attack on Iraq, in March, 2003. (5)
Author Scott took Chomsky to task for his flawed analysis by saying that his theory on JFK’s intentions “assumes the continuity of a mind-set that he is trying to prove.”

To further support his position, Scott, re: JFK and withdrawing from Vietnam, offers the fact that Daniel Ellsberg of the Pentagon Papers fame, a courageous truth teller, had heard from his then Pentagon boss, John McNaughton, in 1964, that Robert McNamara, the Secretary of Defense, and JFK, had an agreement that they would close out Vietnam by 1965, “whether it was in good shape or bad.”
It’s also important to consider, with respect to this dispute, the views of Ambassador James K. Galbraith, now deceased.
His scholarly and insightful interpretation of JFK’s actions, and “NSAM 263,” which backs up author Scott, are found in the “Boston Review,” entitled, “Exit Strategy.” (6)
Shadow Government ordered death then made sure tracks were covered
As you can see, JFK made plenty of powerful enemies during his presidency of 1,000 days over a whole array of issues.
One can only ponder why he was “really” killed.
The Shadow Government, I suspect, ordered his death and then made sure that its tracks were covered-up.

Who is in this secret cabal and exactly why it decided to mark JFK for death, remains a deep mystery.
It is going to be for the next generation of American patriots to solve the case of JFK’s murder.
Hopefully, they can bring out the full truth about that loathsome crime, and if possible, punish all the vicious evil doers involved.
I leave the last words to the author Scott: “Slowly, we have watched the emergence [in the U.S.] of a new community, still small but undeniably growing, that will not be satisfied with ‘the old false answers.’
How far this new community can reform the deep politics of the old society remains unclear.
But in the long perspective of historical time, we see that the communities dedicated to truth, and justice, and decency, tend to outlast those of their vilifiers.”

1. For the purpose of this commentary, the term “Shadow Government” is used to refer to the ultra-criminal entity hidden from public view which orchestrated JFK’s assassination.
I am convinced, but I can’t prove in a court of law, that he was murdered as the result of a conspiracy.
What the nation witnessed, in my opinion, on Nov. 22, 1963, in Dallas, TX, was nothing less than a coup d’etat.

"Civilian casualties have been a continuing issue in Afghanistan, and President Karzai has rebuked American and NATO forces for what he has called carelessness in their military operations."
This is the genteel, bloodless language of geopolitics, spoken by the Gray Lady and the heads of state and makers of policy whom she serves.
You wouldn't know that "carelessness" referred to killing a bride (and twenty-some guests) on her wedding day, except that the observation comes at the end of the New York Times' account of our July 6 bombing of an Afghani wedding, which followed a Fourth of July missile strike in that country — look at the fireworks, Mom! — that killed 15 innocent civilians.
Careless superpower indeed.

What you would never guess is that "carelessness" meant a deliberate U.S. policy of waging the war on terror from the air.
But that has been our policy all along, from "shock and awe" and "mission accomplished" to "the surge is working."
It is undebated, unreported, unquestioned, this policy conceived with the vacuous single-mindedness of serial killers.
The death it has caused has not been calculated and is perhaps incalculable, especially when you factor in the time-bomb effects of depleted uranium and other deadly substances that bombing spreads both locally and around the world.
To my mind, nothing, not even the torture we practice at Guantanamo and throughout the war on terror gulag, exemplifies the disconnect between U.S. policy and the American people like the sanitized horror of the air war.
When the Nazis dropped 50 tons of explosives on the Spanish city of Guernica in 1937, the world called it barbaric.
Today, such a pummeling of some hapless Third World region is routine, transformed by an embedded and co-opted media into "humdrum ordinariness," as Tom Engelhardt has pointed out.

(You'll recall, of course, that Colin Powell, when he lied before the U.N. General Assembly about Iraqi WMD shortly before we invaded, had the tapestry reproduction of Picasso's "Guernica" covered up to avoid any awkward triggering of conscience.)
That we have lost control of our government, money-dominated and obsessed with secrecy as it is, is less surprising to me than the extent to which we have lost our watchdog media, which can't even rouse itself awake long enough to spot the patterns in its own routine coverage of the war.
Shall we take a stroll down Memory Lane?
"Ooh, that's gotta hurt," I recall a colleague of mine saying back in mid-March of '03, as the invasion got under way and the shock-and-awe campaign played nonstop on the tube.
They found one boy's body on the roof of that house
The relentless air assault on Baghdad killed untold Iraqis but utterly failed in its intended purpose of "decapitating" the Saddam Hussein regime, killing not a single high government official.
In April 2003, we got word that Hussein and his two sons were meeting in a building in the Mansur district of Baghdad.
Within 45 minutes, we flattened the building with four high explosive bombs, creating a crater 40 feet deep and killing an unknown number of people, but not Hussein or his sons.
"They found one boy's body on the roof of that house over there," an Iraqi later told a reporter.
"I heard that the father went out for ice cream and wouldn't let his children come with him.
"When we came back, they were dead.
"He must be dying of grief."
Shortly before Christmas 2003, USA Today, in a rare instance of independent war coverage, published the results of its four-month investigation of cluster bomb usage in the first months of the war.

"Although U.S. forces sought to limit what they call 'collateral damage' in the Iraq campaign, they defied international criticism and used nearly 10,800 cluster weapons; their British allies used almost 2,200," reporter Paul Wiseman wrote.
Describing the "steel rain" that devastated the central Iraq city of Al Hillah, he noted that images of the aftermath, "including footage of a baby torn in half, were so gruesome that Western television networks refused to air them."
Back to Afghanistan, where Taliban-hunting with bombs and missiles has been commonplace.
University of New Hampshire professor Marc Herold, who monitored the early phases of the war, wrote in 2002 that "the documented high level of civilian casualties" is caused by "the apparent willingness of U.S. military strategists to fire missiles into, and drop bombs upon, heavily populated areas of Afghanistan."
Seven children died
One example, from about a year ago: We bombed a school in eastern Afghanistan; seven children died.
A Pentagon spokesman explained: "If we knew that there were children inside the building, there was no way that that air strike would have occurred."
We can't wage war without a wide moral latitude.
The public has limited capacity for collateral damage even in the abstract, and none at all for actual details, such as babies torn in half by cluster bombs.

After discovering 911 was an inside job, through such movies as Loose Change, Terrorstorm and Zeitgeist, I decided to investigate the Bali bombings. The evidence was overwhelming. There had been a cover-up.

I've been a conservative my entire life; a registered Republican since I could vote.

So when conspiracy theories quickly surfaced, and "Liberals" cried foul on the erosion of civil liberties, I chalked it up to their political beliefs and bitterness towards the Republican President.
I read many debunking articles — including Popular Mechanics — and watched many debunking videos including, Farenhype 9/11.
I was convinced that these "Liberals" were misinformed and were grasping at straws to discredit the "official" story.
Don't confuse me with the facts, I have my mind made up!
Like most people with strong opinions, instead of looking at all the facts, I was specifically looking for anything that supported my own beliefs.

As soon as I discovered any inaccuracy in a conspiracy claim, I wrote it off.
My father, a big city cop and Korean War veteran, loved to say, "don't confuse me with the facts, I have my mind made up!"
Well, I had my mind made up.
I told conspiracy theorists like my own Truck Officer, Lt. Earl Emerson, that they were insane if they thought anyone other than the terrorists did this.

The years went on and I was satisfied in my beliefs.
I even believed these "Wackos" that doubted the "official" story were distracting our country from focusing on the real threat of terrorism...
Fast forward to March of 2008.
A great friend of mine with a Business degree from West Point, as conservative and non-conspiratorial as they get, came over one night to talk about what he saw happening in the economy.
Began researching such things as economies, who is in control of currencies
He provided some disconcerting evidence that we as a nation are at risk of entering into another depression; he pointed out historical parallels where other countries, such as Germany, suffered economic collapse.
THAT was my eye opener.
I became obsessed researching things such as economies, who is in control of currencies, what causes depressions, who profits during war, etc.
So many things kept pointing to 9/11.
Another one of my dad's favorite quotes was, "believe half of what you see and none of what you hear."
So, I looked at both sides and quickly noticed a pattern.
On one side, the general media ignores some of the most compelling evidence that contradicts the "official" story...
When I voiced my new opinion and concerns most of my friends listened.

Curiously, some became angry at my new questions and actually thought I was supporting Terrorists with my concerns.
Being a part of that same mindset myself only a few weeks ago, and then having a major shift in consciousness, really shook me to the core.
What has happened to our collective consciousness that we believe anyone who doubts the "official" story or what the government tells us is an enemy?
What has happened to us — are we not founded on Freedom of Speech and taught to check our Government?
Anyone who asks for the Truth is labeled a "Wacko" or "Terrorist Sympathizer?"

To be honest, I was asleep at the wheel, and relied on what I was being told by mainstream media.
The same media whose parent corporations, are some of the largest suppliers of weapons in this war.
Before this "awakening" I had no idea the extent of our civil liberties that had been eroded in the name of Terrorism.
I had never really wrapped my brain around what legalized torture means.
I had always claimed America was noble.
Just look at how we treated POW's during WWII and Vietnam compared to our enemies.

It is amazing the rights we have all lost in the past couple of years and very little is covered by the U.S. media.

Why would a government so aggressively suppress truth and blatantly destroy evidence if there was nothing to hide?
Why has every testimony from sworn government and military officials that points to "prior knowledge" been stricken from the 9/11 Commission Report?
How did paper business cards, cloth bandanas, and plastic ID's that implicate the terrorists survive so neatly through jet fueled fireballs hot enough to destroy titanium and steel?

When I truly realized the enormity of the effect 9/11 has had on our Rights, our Economy, our Beliefs, our Fears, our Intolerances and our Government — I felt fear, then anger, then the need to take action.
